The use of Joox application to improve students' listening ability by applying Dictogloss technique (a pre-experimental research on the eleventh grade of MA Assalam Timbuseng in the academic year 2020/2021). Based on the above description, the researcher wishes to carry out a research entitled "The Use of JOOX Application to Improve Students".
Problem Statement
For this research, we will use the JOOX application as an interesting tool to improve students' listening skills, as students listen to a song while reading the text, so that students know and understand what they are listening to. And with Dictogloss support, using JOOX will make more sense for students as they are free to use their own language according to their understanding of the poem.
Objective of Study
Significance of the Research 1. Benefits for students
An advantage for teachers to use the JOOX app as their teaching medium and support it by using the Dictogloss technique in improving students' listening skills. The benefit to the researcher is that the researcher gets some information related to the improvement of students' listening using the JOOX application supported by the use of Dictogloss technique and also adds the researcher about listening to songs using the JOOX application supported by the use of the Dictogloss technique.
Scope of the Research
Theory or Concept Related to Listening a. Definition of Listening
The researcher first explains what the questions mean to get the students ready to listen to the recording. The meaning of words depending on the context or the situation being discussed .. i) The formula, introductory words and hesitation words that occur in speech .. j) The cultural meaning embedded in the message.
The Concept of JOOX
By using this application, the students can not only enjoy listening to music but also read the accompanying lyrics. The rhythm of the song is not too fast, so that the students can easily follow the material based on the song.
JOOX Music Application as Media for Teach Vocabulary
The Concept of Dictogloss Technique
Third, one student is chosen to write the reconstruction of each section of the text; and finally, the whole group can compare their reconstructions with the original reading. Students are focused only on the main ideas of the original text, without writing them down.
The Concept of Pronounciation
Another influence is the attitude towards speakers of the target language and the extent to which the language ego identifies with these speakers. The extent to which students' intrinsic motivation drives them toward improvement may be the strongest influence of all six factors on this list.
The concept of Vocabulary a. Defenition of Vocabulary
The receptive vocabulary is also called a passive process because the learner only receives thoughts from others. Receptive vocabulary is words that students recognize and understand when used in context, but are unable to produce.

Research Variables
Research Instrument
In this study, the researcher followed one class of Social Eleventh Grade MA Assalam Timbuseng, consisting of 20 students (12 women and 8 men). Tests were a series of questions used to measure an individual's performance or ability in class.
Technique of Data Collection
Technique of Data Analysis
After that, the researcher calculated the average score of the students' ability to ask and give information verbally using SPSS 22. Calculate the value of t-test to find out the significant difference of mean score in pre-test and post-test using use SPSS 22.
The Statistical Hypotheses
Findings
Students’ Listening Ability in Terms of Word Meaning (vocabulary) The students’ listening ability in terms of word meaning are
The students had a hard time knowing what the singer said in the song because most of the words in the song were unknown to the students. The average score of the students in the post-test was 78.8, reflecting that the students could know more words and increased their vocabulary after being treated using the JOOX app and the Dictogloss technique. The research showed that the students showed an improvement in their listening ability in terms of word (vocabulary) understanding. The frequency score of the students' word comprehension in the pre-test before receiving the treatment and in the post-test after the treatment using the JOOX app and the Dictogloss technique shows the spread of the students' scores and their percentage in each category.
Students’ Listening Ability in Terms of Word Pronunciation
The students had problems with pronunciation because they listened to the English language and did not practice using English very often. The average score of the students during the post-test was 58.75. This showed that the students not only enjoyed listening to the English song, but also learned how to pronounce the words correctly. Pupils' pronunciation could be obtained because when listening to English songs, the singer usually spoke English as their native language and they pronounced English well.
The research findings indicated that the students also show an improvement in terms of word pronunciation. The students' pre-test average score before the application of JOOX application is lower than in post-test. Frequency count of students' word pronunciation in pre-test before getting treatment and in post-test after getting treatment using JOOX application and Dictogloss technique shows the distribution of the students'.
Then students show the improvement in post-test than pre-test which is 7 (35%) students who became quite good and 13 (65%) students became bad.
Hypothesis Testing
Subsequently, the students show the improvement in the post-test than in the pre-test, with 7 (35%) students being fairly good and 13 (65%) students being poor. a) Paired-sample test of students' word meaning (vocabulary) The paired-sampling test shows the significant differences between the average score of students' word meaning in the pre-test and the post-test using the JOOX application and the Dictogloss -technology. Table 4.5 shows that the pupils' vocabulary score differs significantly between the pre-test and the post-test. The paired samples test shows the significant differences between the mean score of students' word pronunciation in the pre-test and the post-test using the JOOX application and the Dictogloss technique.
From the Table 4.6 it can be seen that the students' pronunciation of the word count differs significantly between pre-test and post-test.
Discussion
Students’ Listening Ability in Terms Word Meaning (Vocabulary) The students’ vocabulary before being treated by using English
The result found was consistent with the research done by Sari (2019) in her research said that the use of song especially from JOOX Music Application was successful in improving students' vocabulary mastery. Song gives students many opportunities to add to their vocabulary because the application was complete with lyrics for students to listen while reading the lyrics. The students' word pronunciation before they were treated using English song in JOOX application and were taught using Dictogloss technique was shown through pre-test score of 32.3.
This result was categorized as fair where students' pronunciation is good and only occasional words were mispronounced. She showed that in addition to enjoying listening to the English song, the students also learned how to pronounce the words correctly. The students' pronunciation could be obtained because when they listened to the English song, the singer was usually a native English speaker and they pronounced English well.
The result found was consistent with the research done by Astutik (2019) in his research, said that in learning English pronunciation using JOOX application was able to motivate students to learn pronunciation and could help them in memorizing and the meaning of the words and make them. easier in their pronunciation.
Conclusion
This result shows that the students' pronunciation was good and only occasional words were pronounced incorrectly. After analyzing the students' results with SPSS 22, the pretest and posttest were significantly different. So we can conclude that the use of JOOX application and Dictogloss technique in improving students' listening ability in terms of word pronunciation in eleventh grade MA Assalam Timbuseng makes a significant difference.
