The purpose of this study is to improve students' skill, especially in writing, using suggestopedia as a method, which is the main idea using classical music or some pictures in the decoration. Then the average grade is II. cycle 75.2 with a student success rate of 80%%, i.e. progressing to 8.3 points.

Background of the Study

They need to understand the characters of the object to more easily construct a descriptive text. Thus, it can be concluded that many of the students failed the passing grade and have a low score for writing skills.

Some principles in Suggestopedia can be successfully adapted to the American classroom: a) the more competence a teacher displays, the more confident the students will be and thus the more they will learn, b) the less tense students are and the more confident they are in their own ability to learn, the greater and faster the learning will be.

Teaching Writing by using Suggestopedia Method

In the classroom, the chairs are arranged in a semi-circle to make the students more attentive and more relaxed. The teacher asks to close the students' eyes after two to three minutes for relaxed mood visualization of scenes and events, to help them relax, facilitate positive suggestion and encourage creativity.

Therefore, the aim of action was to improve students' skill in writing descriptive text by using Suggestopedia Method.

Procedures of the Research

Cycle I

In this cycle, students' writing of descriptive text was measured and their problem to understand about writing descriptive text. The researcher as the teacher and the teacher of the English subject work together to plan everything necessary to solve the students' problem in the teaching-learning process. In this step, the scenario was teaching writing descriptive text using Suggestopedia Method in the process of teaching and learning in the classroom.

Cycle II

The researcher checked the students' scores in post-test II, it was found that the students' scores in post-test II showed the differences between the scores in pre-test and post-test I. If the students' scores in post-test I. -test II are higher than their scores in post-test I and pre-test.

Prior to the implementation of the Suggetopedia method, a pre-test was conducted to know the competence of the student in writing descriptive text. The post-test was examined to the students after they implemented the Suggestopedia method in teaching writing skills as a treatment to know the improvement of the student's performance before and after giving the treatment. In addition, the researcher used observation as a data collection approach to learn how writing descriptive text using the Suggestopedia method works in the classroom, how the students.

This school was established by a society figure from Central Lampung on the 5,030 m2 area at Kotagajah District. From the result of the pretest, the researcher got an average of 60.9, so the result was not satisfactory.

Pre-test

The researcher also planned to assess the students' knowledge on the given materials. At this stage, the class condition was effective because the associate handed over to the researcher to make sure. The researcher started the lesson with a prayer, greeting, checking the attendance list and asking questions of the students.

Post-test 1

The students were confused about what they had to do and struggled to find the information from the text. Although only 9 students passed the minimum score, the results of the students' test were better than the students' pre-test before treatment was given. The table and graph above showed that not all the students were active in the learning process.

After explaining, the teacher asked the students about the material whether the students understood or not. So for the next section, the teacher ordered the students to make a class decorated with pictures. Before the time is up, the teacher gives motivation to the students and reminds them to keep learning at home.

In order to know the students' writing descriptive text mastery after the implementation of the treatment, the researcher in this research conducted post-test I. Comparison of scores Pre-Test, Post-Test I and Post-Test II The score from the implementation of the cycle I and II can be seen in the table result of student learning below. The average score of students writing descriptive text in pre-test, post-test I and post-test II.

Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the result of the test shows that the students who were taught by using Suggestopedia method got higher score. This means that the average score of cycle 2 was better than cycle 1, and the average score of cycle 1 was better than pretest. This is because, based on the key term of this study, more effective means that the students who were taught through the use of Suggestopedia scored higher than those who were not.

Suggestion

Selanjutnya, peneliti tambahan dapat meneliti keterampilan menulis siswa setelah menerapkan metode sugestopedia. Mendengarkan dan menirukan guru membacakan teks deskriptif sederhana tentang tempat wisata dan/atau bangunan bersejarah terkenal dengan intonasi, lafal dan tekanan yang benar. Amati dan ajukan pertanyaan tentang contoh menganalisis deskripsi dengan alat seperti tabel, peta pikiran, lalu terapkan untuk menganalisis lebih banyak deskripsi.
