Praise and thanks are rewarded to Allah SWT, who always blesses and gives strength to the researcher and can complete this thesis entitled "IMPROVING STUDENTS' SPEAKING SKILLS BY CONDUCTING SMALL GROUP DISCUSSIONS IN GRADE 8 SMPN 14 BINTAN". This thesis was submitted to the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji as partial fulfillment of the requirement for an S-1 degree.
