This study aimed to find out whether the dictogloss technique is effective in improving the listening ability of eighth grade students at SMPN 1 Sungguminasa. The data collection procedure is as follows: First, the researcher gave the students a pre-test. The instrument that was used for data collection. Data were collected from eighth grade students at SMPN 1 Sungguminasa. In their article titled "Using Dictogloss in Teaching Listening Comprehension to EFL Learners". Voices of English Language Education Society. This study implemented as follows, the teacher tells the students the topic they are going to listen to and then the students ask the teacher some vocabulary related to the topic they were given.
Listening can be defined as "The process of understanding speech in a second or foreign language". (Richard and Lockhart, 1994). The findings have students' listening test data taken at pre-test and post-test. The plot of students' listening ability in terms of the problem can be clearly seen in table 4.4.
The increase in students' listening ability in terms of the content of the environment can be clearly seen in table 4.7. The increase in students' listening ability in terms of the content of the environment can be clearly seen below. Using the Dictogloss technique to improve the student's listening ability in identifying the setting, problem, solution and moral of the story.
It can be concluded that the use of dictogloss technique is effective in improving students' listening ability in terms of content. It can thus be concluded that there was a significant difference between the score in the pretest and the post before using the dictogloss technique for the students' listening ability in relation to content.

Several studies have discussed about the Dictogloss Technique Dista (2015). implemented dictogloss in sequence by preparing the subjects notice stage activation stage, control stage, writing stage. starting from 1, where the teacher prepares the students for the topic via storytelling, first listening and whole class discussion. at normal speed for reading aloud, 3. Activity stage: this is when students work together in small groups to recreate texts based on what they remember from what they heard, 4. 3 Control stage: this is used to analyze and compare the different written versions in a whole class and to check if they are on track, 5. Writing step: this is specifically implemented to allow students to produce a similar text individually and demonstrate what they have understood about the reading. The text is a summary of the news they have already understood and contains important words and expressions from the news. The text consists of four or five sentences and has approximately 70 words, Step 2 The teacher reads the text again at normal speed and the participants take notes.
They are expected to understand the meaning of the text instead of writing down every word. The reconstructed text preserves the meaning of the original text, but is not necessarily a word-for-word copy of the text that the teacher reads. When students know the context of something, they will be able to predict possible content and are more likely to engage with the text 3. After the second reading, students reconstruct the text using the notes they made in phase two of the dictation 4 Finally, they compare the text they have written with that of their friends.
Since inexperienced students tend to write everything down, teachers should emphasize that they should only focus on key words that can help them reconstruct the text. In small groups (3-4 people), students discuss what they have heard and try to produce a coherent text. Using the Dictogloss technique can be effective because the students learn how to perform reconstruction and investigation processes when they rebuild the texts based on their own knowledge and using their own words, even though some differences are available , as in the Dista article (2015). This focus is on demonstrating what they understood the lecture, Takahiro. 2014) we tried to offer language and content integrated as much as possible.
A treatment was given through the Dictogloss Technique method to measure whether this method was effective in improving students' listening ability. This treatment will be conducted over the course of six weeks at various locations and times, meeting face-to-face in the classroom. 6 conducts a study titled "Using Dictogloss Technique to Improve Student's Listening Skills." by SMP AISYA PACINONGAN. The purpose of this research is to find out whether students' listening ability can be improved by using dictogloss strategy in class VII students of SMP AISYA PACINONGAN.
Give students early information about the Dictogloss technique method and provide information that the Dictogloss technique method can give them insight into how and improve their listening skills. The result of this research is expected to provide as information to the research experience, knowledge in research on education and English teaching, especially for listening ability in using dictogloss technique. This research uses short story media to improve students' listening skills, therefore this research will focus on students' listening skills to identify the setting, problem, resolution, and moral of the story.

Listening Comprehension and Dictogloss Technique
How dare you wake me up?” roared the lion, "I will eat you all!" And with that he put his big paw on the mouse's little body so that the poor frightened little mouse could not move. If you let me go now, maybe I can help you one day!" squeaked the mouse. This made the lion roar with laughter. One day the queen dies, so the king marries a new queen, but she is a witch. The new queen has a magic mirror, she asks ''Mirror, who is the most beautiful?''Snow white the most beautiful''.
Snow White's most beautiful answer to the mirror. The queen is angry, she makes a poisonous apple.

Based on the above result, in the Pre-test and Post-test placement data, it appears that there are improvements before and after the treatment. Based on the above result, in the Pre-test and Post-test data of the content problem it is found that there are improvements before and after the treatment. Based on the above result, in the Pre-test and Post-test data of the content solution, it turns out that there are improvements before and after the treatment.
The pre-test score and post-test score have significant difference after completion of hypothetical test. It can be concluded that pretest and posttest hassig.< a, and H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. The ability of students to identify environment in listening, where the pre-test scores are lower than the post-test score.
Another ability of the students in identifying the listening problem is identified by the pre- and post-test result after using the dicta-voice technique. The third ability of the students in recognizing the solution in listening is identified by the pre- and post-test result after using the dicta-voice technique. The fourth ability of students in recognizing morals in listening is identified by the pre-test and post-test results after using the dictolingual technique.
Conclusion
Most of the dictations are partial dictations where words, sentences or chunks of language have been deleted and students have to listen and write down the missing words. After listening to the passage, students are asked to reconstruct the passage as completely and as accurately as they can. In this form of dictation, students must focus more on the meaning of the piece than on the individual sentences; they are not expected to get everything word for word.
11 Then, in small groups, they participate in the reconstruction of the text according to the fragments they wrote down. The prototypical activity of intensive listening is dictation, the transcription of the exact words spoken by the speaker.
