SUMMARY OF THE OVERALL EVENT
The Department of Data Science at Christ (Deemed to be University) organised the cultural fest, which was an enormous success. The event was inaugurated by the Head of Department, Dr. Lija Jacob, and featured 22 performances by the students. The students showcased their talents in various cultural activities such as dance, music, and poetry. The event provided an excellent platform for students to display their cultural and artistic abilities and brought them together in a spirit of camaraderie. The food stalls, contests, and games were all well- organised and well-received by the students.
The highlight of the cultural fest was the music and dance performances presented by the students. The musical performances were varied, with students showcasing their skills in different styles, including classical and contemporary. The dance performances were equally impressive, with students displaying their skills in various dance styles such as hip-hop, salsa, and classical. The performances were an excellent representation of the students' artistic talents, and the audience was enthralled by the presentations. The mass dance performance presented by the student council members added to the festive spirit of the event.
Apart from the cultural performances, the event also featured various games and contests.
The mobile game, Geoguesser, was a hit among the students, and it ignited their geographical knowledge. The chit chat challenge and other fun games were aimed at promoting teamwork and building camaraderie among students. The event was an excellent opportunity for students to engage with each other and build lasting friendships. The organisers did an excellent job of ensuring that the games and contests were well-organised and well-received by the students.
The food stalls at the event were also a big hit among the students. They provided an opportunity for students to taste different kinds of foods from different cultures. The students enjoyed the cultural experience and appreciated the effort put in by the organisers. The food stalls were also an opportunity for students to learn about marketing strategies, customer handling, and on-field challenges. The stalls were well-organised and well-managed, and the students did an excellent job of handling them.
In conclusion, the Department of Data Science's cultural fest was an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their cultural and artistic talents. The event was well-organised and provided an excellent platform for students to engage with each other in a fun and entertaining manner. The success of the event is a testament to the hard work of the organising team and the positive impact it had on the department. The cultural fest provided various opportunities for the students to learn and grow, and the students are looking forward to next year's event with anticipation. The cultural fest is an annual event and is considered one of the most significant traditions at Christ University.
OUTCOMES OF THE EVENT
1. The event was a success.
2. The students of the department developed a sense of teamwork and unity..
3. The stalls generated enough profit, also giving students a platform to understand how a business might work.
4. The student-in-Charges, POCs and volunteers got a platform to develop their leadership skills.
