SUMMARY OF THE OVERALL EVENT

On June 17th, the picturesque campus of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Lavasa, reverberated with intellectual vigor as it played host to #PRAYAG’23, a prestigious event organized by IEEE Pune Section and IEEE TEMS Pune Section Chapter. Renowned as the Hub of Analytics, the university served as an apt setting for this confluence, which aimed to foster an interdisciplinary amalgamation of technology, management, and engineering for aspiring engineers and management professionals.

#PRAYAG’23 was meticulously structured into two phases.

Phase 1: Seminar

The seminar featured three eminent speakers who imparted profound insights.

The first speaker, *Mr. Dinanath Kholkar*, engaged the audience with his topic "IT+IT=IT:

A Digital India Journey." He expounded on the synergistic combination of Indian talent and information technology as a catalyst for India's progressive future. Mr. Kholkar elaborated on the pivotal role of TCS in catalyzing national growth across diverse sectors and accentuated the importance of sustainable development goals. He encouraged introspective reflection with questions like, 'Why did we do this?', 'What have we achieved?', and 'What more can be done?' His session culminated with commendable book recommendations.

The second speaker, *Mr. Hemant Shah*, presented on "What Business Leaders Expect from Youngistan". His session was an engaging blend of information and entertainment, punctuated with interactive activities. Through an allegory on swimming, he emphasized the importance of practical experience over theoretical knowledge. He also underlined the significance of respecting faculty and posited the thought-provoking maxim, "To believe in invisible things, we should do visible things."

The final speaker, *Mr. Prashant Joshi*, discussed "Core and Foundational Skills to Stay Ahead of the Curve in This Changing World." He orchestrated an intriguing activity where attendees rated themselves on creativity and intelligence. Mr. Joshi underscored the importance of multidisciplinary skills, citing the example of the legendary

mathematician Katherine Johnson. His session concluded with a reflective question,

“When did you last make something which was helpful to people?”

A spirited Q&A session followed, during which attendees engaged in riveting discussions with the speakers.

Phase 2: Exhibition

The latter segment of #PRAYAG’23 encompassed an exhibition featuring myriad informative stalls, one of which was notably hosted by Pune Section SAC. These stalls showcased various initiatives and activities undertaken by the IEEE Pune Section and its

Additionally, a momentous highlight of the event was the unveiling of a book titled

“Insight Ninjas”* and the launch of a website, qskills. “Insight Ninjas” promises to be an intellectual trove for readers, while the qskills website is poised to be a vital resource for skill development and learning.

Management Objectives for Future Events:

1. Holistic Development Focus: Cultivate a curriculum for the event that focuses not only on technological acumen but also on the development of soft skills and ethical

considerations.

2. Industry-Academia Partnership: Foster partnerships with industries to facilitate internships or real-world projects for participants, bridging the gap between academia and practical applications.

3. Global Participation: Endeavor to include international speakers and participants to create a global knowledge exchange platform.

4. Inclusive Participation: Implement initiatives to ensure representation and participation from diverse backgrounds, encouraging inclusivity.

5. Sustainability Practices: Integrate sustainable and eco-friendly practices in event management to align with global sustainability goals.

In conclusion, #PRAYAG’23 emerged as a monumental success, ingraining attendees with invaluable insights and fostering a fertile ground for intellectual and innovative exchange.

The event, with its erudite speakers, vibrant exhibition, and the unveiling of “Insight Ninjas” and qskills website, was a memorable and educational experience for all attendees.
