 Mr Alwyn Sebastian delivered a talk on the topic “Animal Rights in Sustainable World”

 The concluding remarks were delivered by Dr Sunil John.

 The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr Sadanand, on behalf of the School of Law

The Student Bar Association of the School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus organized a Guest Lecture on Animal rights in a sustainable world on 4th October 2021 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM to celebrate the World Animal Welfare Day.

The talk is conducted with the objective to familiarize the audience with the evolution of recognizing the rights of animals in modern times.The fundamental principle of the modern animal rights movement is that many nonhuman animals have basic interests that deserve recognition, consideration, and protection. animal rights advocates, these basic interests give the animals that have them both moral and legal rights. The talk is titled “Animal Rights in Sustainable World” and is delivered by Mr Alwyn Sebastian, Partner at TSA Legal, Bangalore, Karnataka.

Students and Faculty members attended the session through zoom and had an interactive session. Our faculty member Ms Amrutha Valavi introduced the guest for the session. The concluding remarks were delivered by Dr Sunil John. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr Sadanand, on behalf of the School of Law.

Students were able to explore the rights of animals and create a relationship between human development and the animals in today’s environment.
