का.आ. 1095(अ).—जिद्युत अजधजनयम, 2003 (2003 का 36) (जजसे इस में इसके बाद "उक्त अजधजनयम" कहा गया है) की धारा 38 की उप-धारा (1) द्वारा प्रदत्त िजक्तयों का प्रयोग करते हुए, केन्द्रीय सरकार एतदद्वारा, भारत सरकार की कंपनी, सेंरल रांसजमिन यूटिजलिी ऑफ़ इजण्डया जलजमिेड को, जजसका

पंजीकृत कायाचलय प्लाि नं.2, सैक्िर 29, गुरुग्राम, हटरयाणा, भारत, 122001 पर जस्ट्थत है, उक्त अजधजनयम के

प्रािधानों या इस सम्बन्द्ध में केन्द्रीय आयोग या प्राजधकरण के दकन्द्हीं जिजनयमों या जनदेिों या केन्द्रीय सरकार द्वारा जनधाचटरत कुछ अन्द्य जनदेिों या कायों को करने तथा उन्द्हें जनष्पाददत करने के जलए, उक्त अजधजनयम की

धारा 2 की उपधारा (10) के अजभप्राय के तहत में, “सेंरल रांसजमिन यूटिजलिी” के रूप में अजधसूजचत करती है।

और भी, उक्त अजधजनयम की धारा 38 की उप-धारा (1) के दूसरे परंतुक द्वारा प्रदत्त िजक्तयों का प्रयोग करते हुए, पािर जग्रड कारपोरेिन ऑफ़ इंजडया जलजमिेड को, जजसे राजपत्र अजधसूचना, ददनांक 27 निंबर, 2003 द्वारा “सेंरल रांसजमिन यूटिजलिी” घोजित दकया गया था, अजधजनयम के अंतगचत पारेिण अनुज्ञजि-धारी

समझा जाता रहेगा और िह प्रासंजगक एिं उससे सम्बंजधत कायच करता रहेगा तथा केन्द्रीय सरकार या इससे

सम्बंजधत प्राजधकरण द्वारा यथा जनदेजित कायच भी करता रहेगाI यह अजधसूचना 01 अप्रैल, 2021 से प्रभािी

होगी।

MINISTRY OF POWER NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 9th March, 2021

S.O. 1095(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section(1) of section 38 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (36 of 2003) (hereinafter referred to as ‘the said Act’), the Central Government hereby notifies the Central Transmission Utility of India Limited, a Government Company, having its registered office at plot No. 2, sector 29, Gurgaon, Haryana, India, 122001, as the ‘Central Transmission Utility’, within the meaning of sub-section(10) of section 2 of the said Act, to undertake and discharge all functions of Central Transmission Utility pursuant to the provisions of the said Act or any regulations or directions of the Central Commission or Authority or any other directions or functions prescribed by the Central Government in that regard.

Further, in exercise of the power conferred by the second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 38 of the said Act, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, which was declared as ‘Central Transmission Utility’, vide Gazette Notification Dated the 27^th November, 2003, shall continue to be a deemed Transmission Licensee under the Act and discharge functions incidental and connected therewith and would also undertake functions as directed by the Central Government or Authority in that regard. This notification shall be effective from 1^st April, 2021.
