Eight Nahda University Students Attend Inbound Mobility Programme at UniMAP
PAUH PUTRA, 18 September – Eight students of various learning programmes from Nahda University, Egypt, had been selected to attend an Inbound Mobility Programme at University Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) which ran for two weeks beginning 17th August.
The students involved were third and fourth year Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering and Computer Communication Engineering students from Nahda University.
UniMAP Director of Centre for International Affairs (CIA) Dr. Noorhafiza Mohamad said that the programme was implemented as a result of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) that was signed between UniMAP and Nahda University.
She said that besides providing exposure to the students on the teaching and learning quality at UniMAP, the programme also serves as an initiative to increase UniMAP's visibility internationally.
“UniMAP has been proactive in distinguishing itself to the world, and as such this programme is an effort to have involvement of international students.
“Among schools involved are the School of Computer and Communication Engineering, School of Mechatronic Engineering and School of Environmental Engineering, as well as the School of Business Innovation and Technopreneurship,” she said.
Meanwhile, Mostafa Mahmoud Yasen Radwan, a Teaching Assistant at Nahda University's Department of Civil Engineering, said that the courses offered were relevant to the requirements of Nahda University students.
“The students were also eager to visit various places in Malaysia. Although this country is as hot as their own, it did not deter them from enjoying being here,” he said.
Unit Perhubungan Media Page 2 Among the required programme contents are for students to attend academic courses and to visit locations in Perlis, Kedah and Kuala Lumpur to provide them exposure to culture and life in Malaysia.
Mostafa said that the programme is hoped to enhance relations between UniMAP and Nahda University in the exchange of knowledge and teaching and learning experiences between students and staff members of both universities.
