GOD’S WORDS FOR TODAY Mt. 9:18-26) The Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew,
While Jesus speaking to the crowd, an official came forward, knelt down before him, and said, “My daughter has just died.
But come, lay your hand on her, and she will live.” Jesus rose and followed him, and so did his disciples. A woman suffering hemorrhages for twelve years came up behind him and touched the tassel on his cloak. She said to herself, “If only I can touch his cloak, I shall be cured.” Jesus turned around and saw her, and said, “Courage, daughter! Your faith has saved you.” And from that hour the woman was cured.
When Jesus arrived at the official’s house and saw the flute players and the crowd who were making a commotion, he said,
“Go away! The girl is not dead but sleeping.” And they ridiculed him. When the crowd was put out, he came and took her by the hand, and the little girl arose. And news of this spread throughout all that land.
Reflections:
Have courage! Your faith has saved you! How many times in our life that we were frightened by so many things, events, persons and circumstances? Jesus is telling us in today’s Gospel, to have faith in Him, to believe in Him and be not afraid. If Jesus is with us, who will be against us? Let this day be a beginning of a life full of faith, full of courage, full of vigor and full of confidence that Jesus will never ever leave us. He is with us always and forever. And so as One Lasallian family let us join together in prayers as we say,
Prayer:
Let us pray…
Lord Jesus be our strength in carrying our tasks and responsibilities today and the rest of our existence. Amen St. John Baptist de la Salle………….Pray for us!
Live Jesus in our Hearts ………Forever!

FROM THE OVCAR –JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL COMMUNITY:
From the JHS Assistant Principal
1. As we start another week of school, we remind all of you again to focus on your studies and official school activities only. Avoid any temptation that would bring you to difficult situation.
2. All classes are enjoined to maintain the cleanliness of their classrooms and corridors. Remember that your school specifically your classroom is your second home; ensure that everything about your ‘home’ is in order.
3. We reiterate to all classes the ‘single line’ scheme in moving from one learning area to another. Please do this consistently. It is good to see how some students conscientiously maintain order and discipline in their respective classes. We call on the rest of the classes - in particular, those in the higher grade - to do the same. We expect you to be
‘model’ of good behavior especially to the younger members of the community. For those who are doing things well, keep up the good deeds.
4. Today, Class CMR 206 will attend the LIDICSA Holy Spirit Mass at the Cathedral 8:00 am. The class will be
accompanied by Ms. Lhet Remo. Subject teachers are requested to excuse the class if ever you will be affected by the pull out. Thank you.
5. Today, you shall receive the 1st quarter statement of account. Please make sure your parents receive it.

From the JHS Christian Living Department Day to day with St. La Salle
“If you cannot pray, tell God that you cannot and then remain at peace. He will not ask you to do the impossible. Or say to him as the apostles did: Lord, teach me to pray. Then remain humbly before him as one who is incapable of doing anything, and that will be your prayer.” (Letter 111 – To a Member of Religious Community)
