GOD’S WORDS FOR TODAY (Lk. 10:13-16) The Holy Gospel according to St. Luke
"Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. But it shall be more tolerable in the judgment for Tyre and Sidon than for you. And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You shall be brought down to Hades. "He who hears you hears me, and he who rejects you rejects me, and he who rejects me rejects him who sent me."
REFLECTION:
Why does Jesus lament and issue a stern warning? The people who heard the Gospel here very likely responded with indifference. Jesus upbraids them for doing nothing! Repentance demands change - a change of heart and way of life. God's word is life-giving and it saves us from destruction - the destruction of soul as well as body. Jesus' anger is directed toward sin and everything which hinders us from doing the will of God and receiving his blessing. Do you receive his word with faith and submission or with doubt and indifference?
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, give me the child-like simplicity and purity of faith to gaze upon your face with joy and confidence in your all- merciful love.
Prayer of St. Gertrude
Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

6. From the ISFSA
The Mass is first of all a sacrifice — the perfect sacrifice, created by Jesus. Through the priest we offer Jesus, Body and Blood, to the Father, just as Jesus offered Himself to the Father on the Cross. In an unbloody way, we repeat — make present — Christ's death and Resurrection. Through this memorial of Jesus, we offer God our praise, sorrow for our sins, and deepest thanks. https://www.catholiceducation.org/en/marriage-and-family/parent
The TLE and Computer Departments will sponsor the TGIF Mass- “@1 with the Lord in the Eucharist” today. May our little sacrifices bring bountiful blessings to all of us including our families and loved ones.

On Block Rosary
The month of October each year is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary. This is primarily due to the fact that the liturgical feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated annually on October 7.
https://udayton.edu/imri/mary/o/october-month-of-the-rosary.php
One of the activities of the ISFSA is the Block Rosary. We would like to solicit the support of all Lasallian partners to be with us in transferring the image of the Blessed Mother from one faculty room to another. The ISFSA
representatives through the spiritual committee will lead us in this devotion. We consider this day a special visit of our Mother to our home/offices. It may also be a high time for us to have “Huntahan at Kapehan” after the prayer service. In this form of fellowship we could set aside our concerns and relax for a while with the presence of our mother who always gives us comfort and care.
