Abstrzct
While
many factors have been associatedwith
many nursesdeciding
to
changetheir
career, emotional intelligence, iob satisfaction and levelof
burn out have been provento
play an essential part with regard to the need of nurses to shift their career.The study implemented a quantitative research which described and established a relationship between the said variables. It adapted questionnaires from related studies
to
measure the variables and andysesof the
results were determined using SPSS. The datarevealed
that there was no
significant relationship between emotional intelligenceand intention to
leave. There was nosignificant relationship between job satisfaction and intent to leave nursing. On the other hand, it was statistically found that there was
a
significant relationship between emotional olhaustion and intention to leave; also, there was a significant relationship benreen depersonalization and intentto
leave nursing. Lastly, there was asignificant negative relationship between personal accomplishment and intent to leave nursing.
