The writer chooses New Moon as object of this analysis because the novel has the theme which is very good to be analyzed. Theme in this novel is about love sacrifice. In this novel, the lovestory is very unique and full of sacrifice. The story of New Moon tells about love between a human with a vampire that logically is unusual. Usually alovestory is between human and human or a man and a woman, but in this novel it is not. The lovestory occurs in a different world where Bella as a human loves Edward as a vampire that logically the vampire will drink human blood. Bella must choose between two choices. She wants to get his love or save her soul. For example, Bella wants to give her soul to Edward by letting him to bite her that she can be a vampire like Edward. Another sacrifice done by Bella is that she is willing to leave her environment for Edward. Although her parents and her friends do not agree. This is also the background why the writer chose the title: Thematic Analysis of New Moon by Stephenie Meyer.
1. The first strengths of this novel is reflected in theme. Perrine (1988:90) says that the theme of a piece of fiction is its controlling idea or its central insight. The theme of this novel is romantic lovestory. This novel tells alovestory between Sophie and Benedict. Their lovestory becomes interesting because this occurs between social classes. Sophie, who is an illegitimate child, never thinks to fall in love or has a boyfriend until she finally meets Benedict, a son of nobleman. She is aware of herself who only comes from a lower class. At first, Benedict doubts to marry Sophie because if a nobleman marries a person from lower class, he will be into gossip and shunned by many people. The difference of inter- social class prevails in England at that time. In some cases, this still happens until now as quoted bellow:
In social life, there are so many problems which cause something that occurs in our daily life or daily activity. One of them is interaction. God makes people in couples, man and woman, to make a good communication, and then they build a happy family after they get married, but in fact, some people do something which is considered unnatural. A number of people from the same sex have alove relationship called female homosexual or lesbian. Lesbian’s lovestory which is portrayed in Sarah Waters’ novel Fingersmithdoes not only focus on the romantic love but also focuses on the complicated life and complex problems of life in that era. Two women from different worlds are brought together by strange circumstances and forbidden desires in this period-drama. It's a thriller and also alovestory that contains a sexy, passionate and startling one. The writer hesitates to call it lesbian, because that seems to marginalize it far more than it deserves. Suffice it to say that, it is erotic and unnerving in all the right ways. The problems that happen in this novel are commonly caused by social indication such as social status, violence and romantic friendship so what are told in this novel is related to lesbianism.
feelings, she loves Ike. It’s Tamila’s friend who supports her in English Course. With the encouragement of headstrong Eva, loyal Nadia, and Agata and Josef, who are carving out alovestory of their own, perhaps Tami can keep dreaming and find a way to stay in America.
Literature is generally accepted as a written realization of language. It is preserved and passed on through writing, and personal encounter with it is most often through reading what has been written. Literature is a vital record of what men have seen in life, what they have experienced of it, what they have thought and felt about those aspects of it. Fundamentally an expression of life through the medium of language, literature accordingly needs to be systematically studied. Taylor (1981:1) says, “Literature like other arts, is essentially an imaginative act, that is, an act of the writer’s imagination in selecting, ordering, and interpreting life experience.” Based on the statements, it means that literature is a kind of art that usually tells, dramatizes, analyzes, expresses the emotions, and advocates the ideas where the imagination of the author ordering the experience of life into written or oral composition by offers the pleasure. Robert (1987:1) says, “Literature refers to compositions that tell the stories, dramatize situations, expresses emotions, and analyze and advocate ideas.” It shows that literature as reflection of life. Literature, like the other arts, can give us new ways of looking at the world and finding significancewhich the daily use of language in its more commonplace way has concealed.
Round Characters: The basic trait of round character is that they recognize, change, with, or adjust to circumstance. The round character-usually the main figure in astory-profits from experience and undergoes a change or alteration which may be shown in an action, the realization of new strength and therefore the affirmation of previous decision, the acceptance of a new condition, or the discovery of unrecognized truth.

happens. And if she can not love somebody, she will be honest about her feeling. She will not force herself to love that person. There is a son of one of the turnkey whose name is Chivery who is in love with Amy. His name is John Chivery. However, Amy does not love him so she can not accept his love. She ought to give her love for somebody she loves truly and whom she loves is Arthur, the son of Mrs. Clennam whom she works to. When she loves somebody she does not expect that person to reply her love. Amy loves Arthur, and she still loves him although Arthur doesn’t consider their relationship as alove relation. She knows that he just regards her as his friend or as his child. He seldom calls her “my poor child”. She keeps the feeling for herself and just becomes Arthur’s friend. She knows that Arthur loves Pet, but this fact doesn’t give influence to her feeling at all, not also influence her attitude toward Pet. Pet’s real name is Minnie. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Meagles, Arthur’s friend. Amy even makes good friend with Pet.

People always relate the legend to the places, such as “Malin Kundang”, “Lake Toba”, or things, such as “The Legend of Coconut Tree”. hence doing no service to the study at hand. Thus being said, this study attempts to examine how Tayeb Salih and Pramoedya Ananta Toer depict the child narrator in, respectively, “A Handful of Dates” (1966) and “Circumcision” (1950). Both works belong to World Literature, i.e. works that circulate outside the country of origin via translation. This study departs from the conviction that portrayal of children may convey powerful messages about the ways in which grown-ups can be either perpetrators or protectors of the young ones; and how children deal with the adults and the world around them. It will firstly discuss the position of both short stories studied among the World Literature constellation. The child narrator’s perception found in each story will be discussed in turn, focusing as it does on its distinctive role as (1) perceptual focalizer and (2) ideological focalizer.
After waiting and anticipating what would happen between Dennis and talker, I finally got my answer and I am completely thrill of the results!!! It's true what the author says, Van Dennis story started with a internal war battle and it ended with the peaceful love that talker gave him. Of course talker wasn't left behind I'll doubt he had to battle with his own struggles and brother for the peas he also needed. I don't like to give spoilers but I hope that the author would gave is maybe eight novella or maybe a new story about Tucker's brother and would happen to him. That's situation was never resolved at leastv not all of it. Either way this was a perfect ending for Dennis and talk her story!!!! Give it a try and happy reading!!!

“Augustus Waters,” I said, looking up at him, thinking that you cannot kiss anyone in the Anne Frank House…., after all, kissed someone in the Anne Frank House, and that she would probably like nothing more than for her home to have become a place where the young and irreparably broken sink into love. “I must say,” Otto Frank said on the video in his accented English, “I was very much surprised by the deep thoughts Anne had.” And then we were kissing. My hand let go of the oxygen cart and I reached up for his neck, and he pulled me up by my waist onto my tiptoes. As his parted lips met mine, I started to feel breathless in a new and fascinating way. The space around us evaporated, and for a weird moment I really liked my body; this cancer-ruined thing I’d spent years dragging around suddenly seemed worth the struggle, worth the chest tubes and the PICC lines and the ceaseless bodily betrayal of the tumors (Green, 2012: 202-203).
Postmodernism has also been used interchangeably with the term post- structuralism out of which postmodernism grew, a proper understanding of postmodernism or doing justice to the postmodernist thought demands an understanding of the poststructuralist movement and the ideas of its advocates. Postmodernist describes part of a movement; Postmodern places it in the period of time since the 1950s, making it a part of contemporary history. According to Antoni Gidden (2012), “Postmodernisme adalah sebuah est etika, sastra, politik atau filsafat sosial, yang merupakan dasar dari upaya untuk menggambarkan suatu kondisi, atau suatu keadaan.” (Postmodernism is an aesthetic, literary,
