Thequalityofeducation is a measure or standard used to measure the success ofthe provision ofeducation by comparing indicators in the field ofeducation . United Nations Children 's Fund concluded that qualityofeducation includes processes through the which trained teachers use child-centered teaching approaches in well managed classrooms and schools and skilful assessment to facilitate learning and reduced disparities , and outcomes that encompass knowledge , skills and attitudes , and are linked ti national goals for education and positive participation in society. In Aceh, thequalityof primary school up to high school graduates are ranked 30 out of 34 provinces in Indonesia. The low qualityofthe graduates was primarily caused by the low qualityof teachers, which is ranked 30 nationwide.
Abstract: This study aims to find out the factors that affect thequalityofeducation in undeveloped areas. The variables of this study were: 1) thequalityof teachers, 2) the educational devices and infrastructures, 3) the community participation in education, 4) the educational funding, 5) the public perception ofeducation, 6) the accessibility ofeducation, 7) the educational service, and 8) the educational equity. The design of this study was quantitative with survey and multi-cases approach. The populations of this study were the communities in 10 undeveloped districts and its samples were 500 respondents. The data were collected by using questionnaires and analyzed by cluster analysis. The results show that the variables consisting ofthe public perception on education, the community participation, the educational funding, and educational service have score below average total score of public perception on educational equity, because Z score is minus (-).
The acquired absorbance data was created a linear regression equation which expressing the relationship between the concentration ofthe test substance (x) with the average antioxidant activity (y) of a series of measurements of replication so retrieved IC50 value, is the test solution that necessary scavenge 50% of DPPH radical over the past 30 minutes (operating time), or pause time required by the test solution to reduce the radical DPPH perfectly. After 30 minutes the absorbance obtained will be constant.
Youth and Sports, Board ofEducation, Principal and coordinated the Regional Planning Board. Planning documents in accordance with the educational program and the regulation of regional finance. Each school is required to draw up a School Development Plan and Activity Plan and Budget School. In an interview with the Principal concluded that management of SD / MI experiencing difficulties in preparing the plan (program and budget). According to them, not all ofthe Principal have competence in planning educational programs and school budgets. In general, the head of SD / MI and SMP / MTs have never attended a special training as a structural position. Principal is not official structures, but rather as an additional task for teachers with the main task of teaching. In addition, the absence of administrative personnel in SD is also becoming a bottleneck in the planning process. Relatively complex bureaucracy in program planning and management commitments less budget support SD / MI and SMP / MTs in improving thequalityofeducation. School management had trouble following the process of planning, coordination and bureaucratic administration and finance program. Meanwhile, the FGD stated that the Department ofEducation and Bappeda facing constraints to optimize access to the program and budget, especially for SD / MI. Permasalahnya relatively large and relatively complex. To solve this coordination Regional Technical Implementation Unit should be able to coordinate. Thus, the problem (need) each school can be identified, proposed activities can be accommodated, realistic budget calculation and guaranteed to be allocated in the budget plan Salatiga. The process ofeducation SD / MI and SMP / MTs relatively accordance with the provisions set minimum service standards. Implementation ofthe program is implemented in accordance Salatiga City budget implementation document after approval of Parliament with the mayor of Salatiga. Supervision ofthe program carried out by the Inspectorate of Salatiga. Some programs that diaalokasi ofthe budget supervision by the Financial Supervisory Board and Audit Board Pembangan. It can be concluded that the process of planning, implementation and monitoring of programs implemented according to regulations and the terms of financial management.
Furthermore, these ten quality deciding factors are categorized in five groups, which is later known as “servqual”, even so it will be easier to remember by using the acronym of “RATER” that is, Reliability, Assurance, Tangibles, Empathy, and Responsiveness. In higher education, the said quality is being charged by all its customers, commonly known as stakeholders (various interested parties) consisting of students, parents, students‟ family, local community, society, government, staffs, users of higher education potential graduates. According to Hill (in Rowley, 1997), among all customers, the students are the main customers. The research result regarding theeducation service quality in New Zealand, reviewed from the learning participants‟ perspectives (Joseph & Joseph, 1997), shows that there are seven deciding factors that determine thequalityofeducation organization, namely: physical aspect, cost and time of study, academic issue, program issue, career opportunity, location, and other aspects. According to this research result, of 21 indicators covered by those 7 factors, there are five most important indicators. The first two factors include (1) qualified instructors/academic staffs and (2) academic facility, which are considered the most important things in determining the educational implementation quality, and the last three factors comprise (3) institution reputation, (4) career opportunity information, and (5) study program availability respectively.
Implementation of QMS ISO 9001: 2008 on vocational technical education institutions (TVET), an agency strategic step in improving thequalityofeducation gradual and sustained, especially in the aspects ofthe process management ofthe institution. Continuous quality improvement must be built through a process of systematic, planned, measured, gradual, and sustainable. QMS ISO 9001: 2008 will be able to walk well in line with expectations, if a culture ofquality (qualityof live) that represented the spirit ofthe system itself. Quality culture was formed, would not be separated from how the system was built, executed, controlled, evaluated, and treated by all ofthe components and the school community, so that in time the system becomes an integral part of school organizational behavior.
In the context ofthe paradigm shift management ofthe border region, a conceptual theoretical implementation of basic education services in the border region in General and in particular in district of Belu Raihat should be understood as efforts to realize and protect the fundamental rights of citizens. Assessment ofthequalityof basic education services based on the regulation ofthe Minister of national educationofthe Republic of Indonesia number 15 in 2010 about minimum service standard, means judging thequalityof primary education based on the approach oftheeducation production function or input-output analysis where thequalityof basic education services only examined aspects ofthe generated output. And this according to Dwiningrum (2011) is one ofthe causes ofthe low and uneven ofthequalityofeducation. The results ofthe study prove that thequalityof basic education services in a low Raihat in addition to the implications ofthe existence ofthe dimensions of service quality: Reliability, Responsiveness, Tangible, Assurance, Empathy is not applied optimally, there is also another dimension to gain attention and discovering i.e. the geographical condition, local customs and culture, as well as community socioeconomic aspects of religious. The effort to improve thequalityof basic education services in district of Belu Raihat in addition to the need to support the Government (local government) also takes the responsibility and commitment of community leaders, Indigenous Leaders and religious figures.
Thus, the author is interested in reviewing the effectiveness of development and thequalityofeducation by using the method of survey and the technique of path analysis. The author focuses on revealing the inter-variable inluence, that is a research aimed at investigating the direct inluence ofthe hypothesized variables, namely variable ofthe development effectiveness and thequalityofeducation and training on the driver’s technical skill using a quantitative approach. Quantitative approach is used to know whether there are or not inluences between thequalityofeducation and training and the effectiveness of development on the driver’s technical skill. In this case, the information is collected using questionnaires. The population is all taxi drivers of PT XYZ while the samples are 35 drivers with 10 years of tenure.
As one of good departments of Widya Mandala Chatolic University, in which thequalityofeducation is a priority, English Department of Faculty of Teacher Training and Educationof Widya Mandala Catholic University Surabaya provides the teacher candidates a training program through two subjects in order to produce teacher candidates who have a high qualityin teaching. Those subjects are Micro Teaching and Teaching Practice.
In this paper we discuss the importance of data integration and migration and the effects of using the ERP systems in theeducation and research institutions as an innovative learning and networked curriculum. After the implementation of ERP systems the information about the students, faculty, resource center, finance and the general administration etc. are available when you need it; any where and any time. We conclude this paper that universities have sufficient in-house IT skills personnel, they can develop new modules and integrate them with the multiple software products. It is better to implement only portions like student examinations and hostel mangement of an ERP system and the rest ofthe university’s modules may be developed in-house. Another important point is e- learning and distance learning modules may be added in ERP systems. It will help the students living in the remote areas ofthe country. The research capabilities ofthe faculty will be improved with ERP systems. The innovative curriculum will be introduced in different disciplines. Hence thequalityofeducation and research will improve with the implementation ofthe ERP systems. One can say a university using ERP is: “Shaping a university that can compete with the best”.
Many idea, concept and definition have told about total quality management ( TQM ), According to Ross (1995) give a definition TQM as integration from all fungtions and process inside organization to get and reach repaired and increased goods quality as product and continuity serves. Primary purposes are satisfied consumers/costumers. Because the references are economics sector, trade, and business, so quality reins are a base to give guarantee to compete the global market. Then, he explains that TQM concept based on a number of ideas. That’s means that think about quality must be seen from many fungtion ofthe business which started from the first process until the last process which get to integrate many fungtion which are interdependent to all levels. Those are system to get close which have an opinion that every interactions must be happen between one another or the part inside the organization. With this, the whole effectivity from the system will be higher, than the quantity of each sub system product as its own. Sub systems are all products, like designs, plans, productions, distributions, and serves on the outdoor. Sub system management give requires and integration to (1) strategy which gave primary attentions to integration or costumers, (2) tools, qualities, and employees participate (chain eyes process which integrate everything). The naturally results are every products, processes, or serves must can be increase. Success organizations are conscious effort and benefit occasion to repairs and increases all stages. Responsibility structures which must be responses are the costumer’s satisfies, so the slogan that must be took attention were continuity rises up. Other opinions, Murgatroyd and Morgan (1994) told that the qualities focus to costumers were things which escort to the developing body of theories, tools, and applications inside the management worlds. Bennet and friends (1992) were avoid give definition and conceptualization to TQM, because there are no TQM theories which could be called the only one, so they were identify base principles with mixing every important things (keys) which mustn’t be not ( must be) in the beginning of developed TQM such:
Islam had been the religion ofthe state in Turkey for many centuries, but it was disappeared when the type ofthe state was changed into republic in 1923. Turkey then has become a secular state and Islam has been depressed. However, when the political system in Turkey adopted multiparty and the party supported by Muslim community run the ruling government, Islam gradually has existed. This affected the Islamic education and schools, which have been sharply increased in number during the last 2 decades. This research was conducted to identify thequality control ofeducation, the types of Islamic education and the role of government towards Islamic schools. By using techniques of documentation, observation and interview, this research indicated that: 1) thequality control ofeducation in Turkey is done under ministry of national education; 2) the types of Islamic education are divided into public and private and 3) the role of government towards Islamic schools is not implemented straight forward, but through the policy in the Ministry of National Education addressed towards the public schools.
The academic qualityof lectures can be enhanced by holding some shortcourse or training overseas. Moreover, in this global area, it is very beneficial having lectures of Primary Teaching Education, Secondary Education, and Special Needs Education with the emphasise of international area. The training will provide and improve the knowledge and skill for them who able to study overseas.
Characteristics of respondents indicated that the respondents' education level is good. Education which has been pursued by nurses provide knowledge not only directly with the implementation ofthe task, but also a foundation to develop themselves as well as the ability to use all the means that are around us to smooth the task. Highly educated nursing staff motivations would be better because it already has the knowledge and insight that is broader than the less educated nurses.
4 In the Guide for Quality Assurance of International Standard School, an international standard school is defined as a school that qualifies the eight standards of national education plus one extra standard that is the standard of international values. The eight standards of national education mentioned in Government Regulation for the National Standards for Education No. 19/2005 are (1) standard of content/curriculum, (2) standard of process, (3) standard of competency, (4) standard of teacher and educational personnel, (5) standard of facilities, (6) standard of management, (7) standard of finance, and (8) standard of evaluation. The international values as the extra standard means that an international standard school should adapt the components ofthe National Standard ofEducation to international standard ofeducation. Furthermore, an international standard school should also adopt components of international standard ofeducation to the National Standard ofEducation which can potentially improve thequalityof national education.
The results of this third speci fi cation are reported in Column 3 of Table 3. The in- troduction ofthe additional variables does not qualitatively alter the estimated impact of cognitive ability, human capital, school quality, and family background. We also con fi rm existing fi ndings that individuals with higher level of adult social capital and married men have higher wages (see, for the latter, Korenman and Neumark 1991), and we fi nd a small wage premium for individuals who found their current job via informal channels. Most importantly, once we condition on this richer set of covari- ates, our conclusions on the wage premium of high school popularity do not change. Shifting somebody from the 20th to the 80th percentile ofthe predicted in- degree distribution yields a 10 percent wage premium, a return consistent with estimates re- ported in previous studies, (Kuhn and Weinberger 2005, Postlewaite and Silverman 2005). For a median individual, a decile increase in the stock of social skills, corre- sponding to a one- unit increase in the expected number of friendship nominations in high school, is worth a (statistically signi fi cant) 2 percent higher wage 35 years later. This popularity premium is roughly 40 percent ofthe wage premium of an additional year ofeducation.
Problems in this study are: 1) How does the level of success/ effectiveness ofThe Bachelor Education In-service Teachers Programme (BEITP) through the Open/Distance Learning graduate scholar? 2) Is the Recognition of Prior Learning and Experience (RPLE), influence the success of BEITP? 3) Is thequalityof teaching and learning moderated the influential of RPLE to the success ofThe BEITP. This study was conducted based on the assessment ofthe alumni who had Attended BEITP. The source of data is 32 graduate alumnus of BEITP-ICT SWCU graduated. Data were collected through a self-rating scale consisting of 32 items that have been proven valid and reliable; Data analysis used descriptive analysis and multiple regression models with SPSS for Windows version 20. The level of success of BEITP through the ODL graduate scholar is in middle category (37.50%), high (34.40 %) and very high (28.10%). The height of success ofThe BEITP is not affected by RPLE or thequalityof teaching and learning; qualityof teaching and learning become moderator of RPLE influence through the success ofThe BEITP therefore, BEITP-ICT should be focuses on lecturer in thequality teaching and learning process, certainly not out on the support of material and the lecture tools.
Article 50 Section (3) ofthe National Education Act No. 20/2003 about National Education System states that government and/or local government has to establish at least one education institution in each level ofeducation that can be developed into international standard school. As the follow up ofthe National Education Act No. 20/2003, Government Regulation for the National Standards for Education No. 19/2005 Article 61 Section (1) also mentions about international standard school program, i.e. ”government collaborates with local government have to establish and develop at least one international standard school in elementary education and secondary education”. One ofthe most important points of International Standard School program as implied in the Guide for Quality Assurance for International Standard School is developing students’ creativity as a base to improve national competitiveness. Students’ creativity can be developed through interactive and inspirative teaching and learning processes that encourage the development ofthequality, leadership, enterpreneurship, and innovativeness of students. In short, students’ creativity can be developed through student-centered learning.
