1) On the first day, a courtesy call to the Municipal Mayor of Bolinao, Hon. Alfonso F. Celeste together with the CRM Head, Mr. Jesem Gabatin, was conducted. Mayor Celeste was currently having a meeting when we arrived thus, we discussed the purpose of the visit to Mr. Edwin Conte, who is the consultant in the municipality.
2) After the meeting at the Municipal Hall, we also meet the technical enumerators assigned in the area.
3) As a part of our activity, we conducted a short visit at the Bolinao School of Fisheries to give IEC materials such as leaflets and RA 10654 booklets for the school. Moreover, we had a small tour from their facility after a short talk with the Office-in-Charge, Sir Edwin T. Calma.
4) During the second day was the supposed schedule for the Ichthyoplankton Survey in the area, however the Philippine Coast Guard of the Municipality of Bolinao did not allow us to conduct the activity due to the gale warning brought by the bad weather.
5) On third day, a sampling on the fish landing stationed within Bolinao market was conducted together with the technical enumerators. Among the major fish caught during that day was Thunnus albacares locally known as “Tambakol”.
6) Due to the bad weather, we decided to reschedule the sampling date of the Ichthyoplankton Survey on October 2019.
