第三節 研究限制
針對本研究在設計之時有未臻完善之處,就下列幾個方向進行檢討,並供未 來相關研究作為參考。
一、樣本外推的限制
由於本研究只針對新竹縣之步行輔具使用者做調查,解釋力無法擴及其他地 區。
二、研究問卷的設計
本研究第一部分的資料收集工具為自我設計之問卷,其中部分問題之設計由 於用詞上不周全,故解釋力不足,無法做過多的推論。例如在長輩使用輔具的時 間或頻率,但該問題只概略詢問使用者自覺的使用頻率,目前問法無法呈現「輔 具使用量」,即每天大約有多少時間會用到輔具,所以在推論上會有所限制;同 樣,在收集使用者的跌倒資訊時,只有問到使用後的跌倒情形,沒有問使用前的,
如此無法推論輔具對「降低跌倒頻率」有沒有幫助。
三、功能性表現測試
本研究中所採用的六分鐘行走測試項目,受試者在測試過程中因為同時使用 步行輔具,所以其測試結果無法單純代表受試者的步行能力,會同時受到所使用 的輔具種類干擾,日後相關研究可考慮其他更適合的測試方式。

附錄一 受試者輔具照片
(一)單拐/手杖
說明:本研究使用單拐/手杖的受試者,其使用的單拐/手杖形式多元,拐杖高度 有可調整及固定式兩類,固定式的尚且包含雨傘拐、自製拐等。
(二)四腳拐
說明:本研究四腳拐受試者所使用的四腳拐型式變化較單拐小,拐杖高度皆可調 整,主要差異在底面積的設計,本研究共觀察到三種底面積由小到大的四腳拐。
