S
UMMARYThe curiosity to learn how technology can solve challenges faced by architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals led me to pursue a research career. My research aims to develop sustainable solutions to plan, build, monitor, control, and operate buildings and civil infrastructure systems. To achieve this, I explore tools, methods, and frameworks from robotics, cybersecurity, and data analytics. My research experience and goals will foster interdisciplinary collaborative efforts to investigate topics such as cyber vulnerability of common data environment (CDE), building data visualization, and multi-robotic systems for building performance evaluation.
My teaching primarily focuses on active and experiential learning. While active learning significantly engages students in thinking about the key concepts, experiential learning helps students learn from reflecting on hands-on experience. I had the opportunity to implement and experience both these by meticulously designed activities in my previously taught courses such as “Computer Integrated Construction Engineering Systems”, “Construction Contracting”, “Construction Engineering, “Engineering Economics”, and “Numerical Methods”. Moving forward, I would like to focus my teaching in the fundamentals and applications of technology in the AEC industry. In addition, I am always open to challenging myself, learning, and teaching new courses.
