ABSTRACT

The dermal equivalent is an in vitro model of the dermal layer of skin. It is constructed tiy seeding dermal fibroblasts into degradabie or polymenc scaffold. It can be used for wound care to accelerate wound healing process. Due to high cost and lack of dermic components, the dermal equivalent has not been used popularly In this study, we developed a new dermal equivalent tiy seeding cord lining mesenchymal stem cells in plastic culture substrate and maintaining in specific medium to stimulate cells to secrete extracellular matrix. The morphology of dermal equivalent was investigated, we also made evaluation in animal wound model.
