ABSTRACT:
Private labels have created competitive advantages and differeneces for retailers compared to other manufacturers and retailers, given them more flexibiHly in setting prices and communication - promotion poHeies. Especially, the private label helps retailers increase their profits in the price-sensitive customer segment (Quelch and Harding, 1996). In order to explore the relationship among factors influencing consumers' decision on purchasing private labels of tuy Hoa Co.op marl supermarket in Phu Yen province, descriptive analysis, Cronbach's Alpha, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and regression model analysis were used in this study. By reviewing theories and conducting a quantitative research, the results show that there are five factors that influence the decision of consumers on using private labels, thereby proposing policy implications for supermarket managers to improve sales of private label products.
