ABSTRACT:

This study is to examine the relationship between casli flow and investment and impacts of the state's control on external funding channels of non-financial companies listed on Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange. The study's results reveal the relation between cash flow and investment is U-shaped. The investment sensitivity of cash flows of state-owned companies is greater than that of private companies, especially when the cash flow is negative. Differences in sensitivity only appear when investment opportunities are less. The study's regression analysis shows that the state's control does not help companies gain more external capital resources.
