A review on natural compounds of alkanpolyenylbenzene group isolated from Piper L. genus is presented. The compounds of this group are divided into 3 subgroups, including: propenylbenzen (34 compounds), polyprenylbenzen (42 compounds) and alkenylbenzen (14 compounds). Of them, many compounds possess interesting bioactivities, such as antiplatelet, antifungality, antioxidanee, cytotoxicity... Therefore, this group still remains promisingly potential in recovery of new pharmaceutical compounds and active structures in the coming future.
