Th£ Zionist Conversazione.
An animated discus:;; ion on Young J sr<tel prohlern took place at the Zionist co1wer- sazionP on Tue:-da_ eHning when \1r. S.

Ir. Nell traced the history and outlined the a(ti\ities of Young Israel in this coun- try. Speaking of the future, he stressed th0 need for a proper us, to be made of tlw ex<' 1lent Young L rael organisation which }1, cl heen built up. Unfmtunately. in Te-
e< nt years the S.A. Young Israel Federation
had not been able to get out of the grooYP of doing merely routine work.
Up to the present the functions organised hy Young Israel Societies la('ked \\hat might he called a scientific basis, and it ·was on tl c irnp1 o\ ing of this state of affair~ that tlw Young Israel Federation had to concen t1 <ill .
fr. dl favoured the formation of a Young lf'raf'l Bureau to replace the Young f f'ra<·l FPderation and to deal \~ith this matter.
Speaking of the di ff er ncrs hcl\H'<'rt
< niors and junior~, 11r. Nell urged the nee<l
for a . pirit of giH' and take, and an appre- 1·iatio11 of th<> fact Ii) tho::-.<' in <'hargP of Young L iael acth itie that any I ight th<' juniors may lime suffered \Hl~ cnti1el) u11i11- tentional, and that hy the exercise of tact a

Kindergarten Festival Concert.
The spirit of spring and harre-;t WC:'~
beautifully reviYed last Sunday morning at the Shevuoth Concert given by the Bnoth Zion Hel rew Kindergartens at the Zionist Hall. Blossoming trees and greenery, little farmns brinf!ing their " first fruits " to be sold in Jerusalem, the songs of the "'heal farmers, sheep farmers, vegetable farme1 s and vintners, and a general spirit of glad- ness and rejoicing-all these gave colour and significance to a festival primarily associated with spring.
The supposed giving of the Torah to the people on Shevuoth was also not forgotten.
Joyfully the little ones marched round the room carrying their miniature blue and white Torahs.
TH E S.A. JEWISH CHRONICLE.
The Kindergarten Festival concerts con- tinue to be a source of great pleasure both to the children and onlookers But more than that, they fill one with amazement by their complete spontaneity, by the obvious joy with which the little performers feel, and by their ski.lf ul handling of a language totally foreihn to them. The concerts speak wonders for the '·rnrk being done Ly the kindergai tens to-day.
The success of the kjndergartens has un- douhtecll y to a large extent been due to
<>Xcf'llenl management on the part of the t<>af'hers. And so it is \\it h not a little regret that the Bnoth Zion bid farewell to Miss Rivka Goldin, the Molteno Road gannenetlz, who is to he married shortly and who has thu · resigned her po ition.
A prr. entation, on b half of the Bnoth Zion Committee an<l the parents of the pupils, was made to Miss Goldin at th concert on Sunday.
l Iis~ Goldin's successor is Irs. J. Miha- slurn, and all h t '1ish s are xtended to her for the success of this nc ,. undertaking.
