The Ch1ef Rabbin te of Palestine together with all the R bb1s there, and also the Association of R bbis of America have decided that
WEDNESDAY, 14th MARCH. 1945, (the eve of Rosh Chodesh Nissan) shall be declared a day of mourning and fasting for the whole Jewish world, for the martyrdom of
European Jewry.
The local Beth Din, therefore, announces that the above mentioned day is a public fast, and all those whose health permits must fast the whole day. Those who cannot fast the whole day, should f::st till 12.30 p.m. No celebrations or amusements are to be arranged for that day which must be a day of mourning.
