1. Terapi injeksi hormon testosteron dosis rendah dan dosisi tinggi dapat meningkatkan kadar testosteron dalam plasma darah dan berperan dalam peningkatan kadar β amyloid pada cairan serebrospinal

2. Hormon testosteron berperan dalam menurunkan tingkat kematian sel dan akumulasi plak β amyloid pada jaringan otak

3. Marmut tua sebagai hewan model untuk terapi hormon dalam mempelajari pembentukan plak β amyloid yang berhubungan dengan salah satu patogenesis penyakit Alzheimer.

Saran

Penelitian ini belum mempelajari peran testosteron dalam memperbaiki fungsi kognitif, memori yang berkaitan dengan patogenesis penyakit Alzheimer. Diharapkan dalam penelitian lebih lanjut dilakukan pengamatan terhadap parameter tersebut sehingga dapat mendukung peran terapi testosteron dalam memperbaiki kondisi manusia yang menderita penyakit Alzheimer.
