The Lztncbtics Act, 1864,"[Assented to, 21th November, 1868.1 HEREAS it is expedient to amcnd " The Lunatics Act, 1964,"
by authorizing the Governor with the advice of the Execu- tive Council, to appoint the Resident Medical Officer fbr the time bcing of the Adelaide Lunatic Asylum, to act as the Resident Medical Officer of such other Lunatic Asylums to be hereafter proclaimed under the provisions of the said Act as to the said Govcrnor with the advice aforesaid may seem expedient-Be it therefore Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said Province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows :
1. This Act and the said " The Lunatics Act, 1864," shall be incorporated and read together as forming one Act.
2. Notwithstanding anything contained in the said The Lunatics Act, 1864," or "The Lunatics Act 1865-6,'' to the contrary, the Governor may with the advice of the Executive Council, appoint the Resident Medical Officer for the time being of the Adelaide Lunatic Asylum, to act as the Resident MedicalOfficer of any other Lunatic Asylum hereafter to be yroclainied, under the said G The Lunatics Act, 1864," and thereupon, and until the Governor with the advice aforesaid, shall otherwise order, such Resident Medical Officer shall, in addition to his other duties, perform all the duties, and have and exercise in respect to such last-mentioned Asylum (although
