BAB III

METODOLOGI PENELITIAN

3.1. Jenis Penelitian1

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian komparatif dimana penelitian ini

dilakukan untuk mendapatkan jawaban yang mendasar tentang perbedaan

karakteristik suatu populasi dengan satu populasi yang berbeda tetapi dalam

waktu yang sama. Penelitian ini juga sering dilakukan untuk membandingkan

variable tertentu dari sampel yang ditarik dari kedua populasi tersebut.

3.2. Objek Penelitian

Objek penelitian yang diamati adalah bangunan atas jembatan antara box

culvert dan balok-T.

3.3. Tahapan Penelitian

Penelitian dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap, yang diawali dengan

melakukan identifikasi masalah hingga menghasilkan kesimpulan.

Tahapan-tahapan tersebut meliputi:

1. Studi literatur

Kajian literatur merupakan bagian dari studi yang bertujuan untuk

mengumpulkan dan menganalisa data sekunder dari instansi terkait, hasil

penelitian, jurnal, dan literatur lain.

2. Pengumpulan data

Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari data kualitatif dan

data kuantitatif, baik yang berupa data primer . Kegiatan pengumpulan data

yang dilakukan Teknik observasi, yaitu dengan melakukan pendimensian,

mutu beton dan tulangan secara langsung tanpa melalui pihak lain.

3. Pengolahan Data

Pengolahan dilakukan dengan menghitung dan mendesain volume

tulangan yang ada pada jembatan box culvert dan balok-T.

4. Pengolahan data

Data yang di dapat akan di olah/ di desain untuk mendapatkan hasil

perhitungan atau desain sehingga diperoleh komparasi dari hasilnya.

5. Kesimpulan dan Saran

Langkah akhir yang dilakukan adalah penarikan kesimpulan yang berisi

4.2.1. Pembebanan Jembatan Box Culvert

Berat Sendiri

Berat sendiri adalah berat bahan dan bagian jembatan yang merupakan elemen

structural, ditambah dengan elemen non struktural yang dipikulnya dan bersifat

tetap.

 Beban sendiri plat lantai (QMS),

QMS = h1 x 1m x wc = 0,5 m x 1m x 25 kN/m3 = 12,5 kN/m

 Berat sendiri Plat dinding (PMS),

PMS = H x h2 x wc = 4m x 0,5m x 25 kN/m3 = 50kN
