ABSTRACT
WELISARI PURBA : Efektivity some Plants Rodenticides to Rat(Rattus argentiventerRobb and Kloss) at Laboratory, supervised by Suzanna Fitriany Sitepu and Lahmuddin Lubis. Rat (Rattus argentiventer Robb and Kloss) is one of the important plant pests in rice fields. Damage caused by rats attack on rice crops in Indonesia reached a loss of 15-20% every year. This research was conducted to testing there is influence addition some plants rodenticides to mortality of rat(R.argentiventer) at Laboratory.The experiment was conducted at Laboratory of Vertebrate Pest Control Balai Besar Perbenihan dan Proteksi Tanaman Perkebunan, Medan from March to May 2016. This research was designed by non-factorial randomized block with 5 treatments is control, Dioscorea hispida, Nicotiana tabacum, Jatropha curcas, Ageratum conyzoides in 30%and each of which in repeated four times.Observations included the weight of rat, consumed of bait,change of behaviour and persentage of mortality. The results showed that the highest reduction weight of rat was at Nicotiana tabacum (3,37gr) and the lowest was at Ageratum conyzoides (0,37gr). The highest consumed level of bait was at Dioscorea hispida (8,22gr) dan the lowest was atNicotiana tabacum (1,07gr). The highest change of behaviour was Dioscorea hispida (36) and the lowest was Jatropha curcas (18). The highest mortality was at Dioscorea hispida (100%) dan lowest was at Jatropha curcas (25%).

WELISARI PURBA : Efektivitas Beberapa Rodentisida Nabati terhadap Tikus

LaboratoriumdibimbingolehSuzanna Fitriany SitepudanLahmuddin Lubis.Tikus sawah(Rattus argentiventerRobb and Kloss)merupakan salah satu hama penting pada tanaman padi. Kerusakan akibatserangan tikus pada tanaman padi di Indonesia mencapai kerugian sebesar 15-20%setiap tahunnya.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji adanya pengaruh pemberian beberapa rodentisida nabati terhadap mortalitas tikus sawah (Rattus argentiventerRobb and Kloss) di laboratorium.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Pengendalian Hama Vertebrata (LPHV)Balai Besar Perbenihan dan Proteksi Tanaman Perkebunan (B2P2TP), Medan dari bulan Maret sampai Mei 2016.Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan AcakKelompok (RAK) non faktorial dengan 5 perlakuan yaitu perlakuankontrol,Dioscorea hispida, Nicotiana tabacum, Jatropha curcas, Ageratum conyzoides dengan konsentrasi 30% yang masing-masing diulang sebanyak empat kali.Pengamatan meliputi bobot badan tikus, tingkat konsumsi pakan umpan, perubahan tingkah laku tikus dan persentase mortalitas tikus. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa penurunan bobot tubuh tertinggi teerdapat pada Nicotiana tabacum (3,37gr) dan terendah Ageratum conyzoides (0,37gr). Tingkat konsumsi umpan tertinggi terdapat pada Dioscorea hispida (8,22gr) dan terendah Nicotiana tabacum (1,07gr). Perubahan tingkah laku tertinggi terdapat pada Dioscorea hispida (36) dan terendah Jatropha curcas (18). Persentase mortalitas tertinggi terdapat pada Dioscorea hispida (100%) dan terendah Jatropha curcas (25%).
