merupakan salah satu tujuan pembangunan pertanian. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut usaha-usaha yang dilakukan meliputi intensifikasi, ekstensifikasi, diversifikasi, dan rehabilitasi. Data yang disajikan pada bab ini digolongkan dalam lima sub sektor yaitu: Tanaman Bahan makanan, Perkebunan, Kehutanan, Peternakan dan Perikanan.

5.1 Tanaman Bahan Makanan

Tanaman Bahan Makanan meliputi antara lain : padi, jagung, ubi, kacang- kacangan, sayur-sayuran, dan buah-buahan. Dibanding dengan tahun lalu, secara umum produksi tanaman pangan mengalami peningkatan.

Produksi padi pada tahun 2007 sebesar 1.526.347 ton atau turun sebesar 1,69 persen dari tahun sebelumnya. Selama periode 2003-2007, produksi padi di Provinsi NTB cukup bervariasi.

Produksi sayur-sayuran dan buah-buahan disajikan pada Tabel 5.1.10 dan 5.1.11. Dalam bab ini juga disajikan informasi produktifitas dan

5.1 Food Crops

Food crops, among others, consist of paddy, maize, cassava, sweet potatoes, peanuts, soyabeans, green beans, , vegetables, and fruits. Compared to previous years, generally the production of food crops have increased.

Paddy production in 2007 are 1,526,347 tons, or have dereased 1.69 percent from the previous year. During the period 2003-2007, the paddy production in NTB Province have been varieting.

Vegetables and fruits production are presented in Tables 5.1.10 and 5.1.11. On this chapter is also presented about Information

perkebunan besar, ialah usaha perkebunan yang dilakukan oleh suatu badan usaha atau badan hukum di atas tanah yang statusnya Hak Guna Usaha (HGU). Di luar batasan ini diklasifikasikan ke dalam perkebunan rakyat.

Perkebunan rakyat di Provinsi NTB pada tahun 2007, meliputi 17 komoditi. Produksi dari ke-17 komoditi tersebut sangat bervariasi. Untuk komoditi kelapa, kopi, jambu mete, kakao, vanili, kapas, dan jarak, mengalami kenaikan produksi pada tahun 2007 jika dibandingkan dengan produksi pada tahun 2006. Sedangkan untuk komoditi lainnya, mengalami penurunan produksi.

5.3 Kehutanan

Produksi hutan dapat dikelompokkan menjadi kayu dan hasil hutan non-kayu. Nilai produksi hasil hutan kayu dan non-kayu dapat dilihat pada tabel 5.3.2-5.3.3. Selain dari hasil hutan sendiri, persediaan kayu di NTB juga diperoleh dari daerah lain. Pemasok kayu terbesar untuk wilayah NTB adalah Sulawesi Tenggara, kemudian diikuti oleh Kalimantan Selatan.

5.4 Peternakan

Salah satu usaha pemerintah di bidang peternakan adalah meningkatkan konsumsi protein hewani bagi penduduk Indonesia.

In 2007, small plantation in NTB Province cover about 17 commodities. The production among 17 commodities are very variated. The production of coconut, coffee, chasew, vanilia, cotton, and coster oil plant have increased in 2007 from the previous year. But the other commodities have decreased.

5.3 Forestry

Forest production can be grouped into wood and non-wood. The forest production value of wood and non-wood in NTB can be seen in table 5.3.2-5.3.3. Beside from the own forest production, the woods stock in NTB, also coming from another region. The major woods supplier in NTB is Sulawesi Tenggara, then followed by Kalimantan Selatan.

5.4 Livestock

One of the effort of the government in the five years development plan, is to increase the consumption of animal protein for

tercatat 389.043 ekor kambing, 28.716 ekor domba, dan 39.320 ekor babi. Sedang populasi ayam ras 1.815.291 ekor, ayam kampung 4.244.663 ekor, dan itik 516.900 ekor.

Berdasarkan data dari Dinas Peternakan Tingkat I Provinsi NTB, jumlah pemotongan ternak pada tahun 2007, tercatat sebanyak 32.299 ekor sapi, 8.358 ekor kerbau, dan 2.062 ekor kuda. Untuk ternak kecil, jumlah pemotongan sebesar 16.502 ekor kambing, 544 ekor domba, dan 2.053 ekor babi.

5.5 Perikanan

Berbagai usaha telah dilakukan pemerintah dalam meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat, demikian pula pendapatan masyarakat di sektor perikanan.

Produksi perikanan pada tahun 2007 sebanyak 203.974 ton yang terdiri dari 175.209 ton perikanan laut, dan 28.764 ton perikanan darat.

Data yang lebih rinci dapat dilihat pada tabel 5.5.1 sampai dengan 5.5.4.

According to the data collected by the Livestock Services of Nusa Tenggara Barat, the total number of cattle slaughtered in 2007 are 32,299 cows, 8,358 buffaloes, and 2,062 horses. With regard to small cattle, the number of slaughtered cattles are 16,502 goats, 544 sheeps and 2,053 of pigs.

5.5 Fishery

Various endeavors have been made by the government to raise the income of the people, so do in the fishery sector.

The fishery production in 2007 is 203,974 tons, consisting of 175,209 tons marine fishery, and 28,764 tons inland fishery
