PERDJANDJIAN PERSAHABATAN ANTARA REPUBLIK INDONESIA DAN KERADJAAN IRAN.

Paduka Jang Mulia Presiden Republik Indonesia dan

Sri Baginda Sjahinsjah Iran

Dengan maksud untuk memperteguh dan mempererat pertalian persahabatan antara

Indonesia don Iran, ､ｾＺｭ＠ berpendapat bahwa perkembangan hubungan baik antara Kedua Negara

tersebut adalah satu wasilah jong tepat untuk pemeliharaan perdamaian Dunia, maka untuk maksud itu telah menundjuk sebagai Wakil-Wakil Berkuasa Penuh Mereka:

jong, sesudah soling memeriksa surat kepertjajaon mereka don masing-masing terdapat sempurna don sebagaimana mestinja, telah menjetudjui sebagai berikut:

Pasal

Kedua Pihak Agung Jang Berdjandji bertekad untuk menegakkan perdamaian jong abadi don hubungan jong baik antara mereka, don akan berusaha untuk memperkuat pertalian persa habatan don hubungan-hubungan moril don jong biasa lainnja, jong dapat merapatkan wa rga dari Kedua Pihak.

Pasal II

Kedua Pihak Agung Jang Berdjandji menjetudjui untuk melandjutkan hubungan-hubungan diplomatik don konsuler mereka masing-masing atas dasar hukum don kebiasaan internasional.

Pedjabat-pedjabat diplomatik don konsuler dari salah satu 1Pihak jong berdiam dalam wilajah Pihak Jang Lain diberikan perlakuan sesuai dengan kebiasaan dalam hukum internasional.

Pasal Ill

Kedua Pihak Agung Jang Berdjandji akan mempertimbangkan dengan mesra don dengan

kerdja-sama pembuatan selandjutnja dari perdjandjian2 _{sebagai berikut:}

Perdjandjian Perdagangan don Pelajaran, Perdjandjian Konsuler don Kebudajaan, Perdjan-djian untuk melindungi Hak-Hak Tjipta Kesusasteraan don Kesenian, don PerdjanPerdjan-djian-Perdjan- Perdjandjian-Perdjan-djian mengenai segala hal-hal jong bermanfaat bagi Kedua Belah Pihak.

P a s a I IV

Kedua Pihak Agung Jang Berdjandji menjetudjui untuk menjelesaikan dengan setjara da-mai segala perselisihan jong mungkin timbul diantara Kedua Belah Pihak don jong tidak disele-saikan pada waktunja melalui saluran-sa luran diplomatik b iasa, don apabila gagal untuk men-tjapai suatu penjelesaian da lam djangka waktu jong lajak, mereka akan menempuh setiap djalan jong praktis jong dianggapnja lebih tepat, sesuoi dengan peraturaperaturan don ketentua n-ketentuan dari Piagam Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa .

Pasal V

Perdjondjian ini akan berloku untuk selama djongko woktu limo tahun, okon tetopi dengon sendirinja akon diperpondjang untuk djangka waktu limo tohun lagi don demikian selondjutnjo, terketjuoli soloh sotu Pihak dengan tjara pemberi-tohuon jong tertulis, menghendoki pembota-lannja sotu tahun sebelum habis masa berlakunja Perdjandjian tersebut.

UNTUK MENJAKSIKANNJA, mako Wokil-Wokil Berkuosa Penuh tersebut teloh

menanda-tanganinjo don membubuhinja pula dengan meterai ｭ･ｾｾ＠

TREATY OF FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA AND THE KINGDOM OF IRAN.

His Excellency the President of the Republic of Indonesia and

His Imperial Majesty the Shah of Iran

With a view to consolidating and intensifying the liens of amity between Indonesia and Iran, having considered the development of friendly relations between the two countries an effective measure for the maintenance of world peace, have appointed, for this purpose, as their Plenipotentiaries:

Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of Iran

His Imperial Majesty the Shah of Iran

Ali Asghar Hekmat

Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Iran

who, having exchanged their credentials, which were found in good and due form, proceeded to agree on the following:

Article I

Either High Contracting Party undertakes to establish permanent peace and friendly relations with the other Party, and to endeavour to strengthen ties of friendship and connections, moral and normal, which would bring together the nationals of either Party.

Article II

The two High Contracting Parties agree to maintain their respective diplomatic and consular relations on the basis of international law and practice. Diplomatic and consular officers of either Party residing in the territory of the other shall be accorded treatment in accordance with the practice of international law.

Article Ill

Either High Contracting Party shall consider cordially and with co-operation the further conclusion of the following agreements:

Commerce and Navigation Agreement, Consular and Cultural Agreement, Agreements on the protection of literary and artistic copy-rights, and Agreements on all other matters of interest to both Parties.

A '\tic I e IV

The two High Contracting Parties agree to settle amicably all disputes that may arise between them and which are not settled in due course through normal diplomatic channels, failing to arrive at a settlement within a reasonable period, they shall resort to any practical procedure they deem more suitable, in accordance with the rules and provisions of the Charter of the United Nations.

Article V

Art i c I e VI

This Treaty will be valid for a period of five years, but will be tacitly prolonged for a not her period of five years and so forth, unless either Party, by means of a written notification, a sks for it s denunciation one year before the expiration of said Treaty.
