ABSTRACT
Dalam penulisan tugas akhir ini, saya membahas mengenai bagaimana menghadapi murid-murid di lembaga privat bahasa Inggris “Creative Learning” yang mengalami kesulitan berkonsentrasi dalam belajar. Sebagai staf magang di lembaga ini, saya menghadapi masalah seperti murid yang tidak dapat berkonsentrasi dalam belajar. Masalah ini ditimbulkan oleh anak didik yang membuat kegaduhan, anak didik yang merasa letih, dan karena anak didik yang ingin segera menyampaikan sesuatu yang terlintas dalam pikirannya.
Berdasarkan hasil analisa yang telah saya lakukan, saya menemukan ada tiga solusi yang dapat mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Pertama, saya menegur anak didik untuk tidak melakukan hal-hal yang dapat menganggu proses belajar mengajar. Kedua, saya harus meningkatkan konsentrasi anak dengan memberi mereka istirahat sebentar. Ketiga, saya memakai teknik pengajaran baru dan dengan menggunakan alat bantu mengajar agar anak didik tidak merasa bosan dalam proses belajar mengajar.

INTRODUCTION
A. Background of the Study
In this modern era, English has already become a global language, as Jennifer (par 1) says that from time to time English has become a global language. English has been used in almost every part of the world. We can say that almost every person has to master this language, because it has also already used in many sectors such as in education and business sector.

teaching activity because it will help to pass the lesson well because students can get the lesson maximal. In Creative Learning, some students were lacking of concentration in the learning process. It happened because in the learning process some students disturbed the other students and some could not concentrate because they were tired. Therefore, in this term paper I would like to analyze this problem and try to find the best solution.
B. Identification of the Problem
Based on my experience during my internship program as a teacher assistant at Creative Learning I propose to analyze:
1. Why cannot students in Creative Learning concentrate on the lesson? 2. How will the students who cannot concentrate in class influence the learning process?
3. How can the teachers make the students concentrate on the lesson?
C. Objectives and Benefits of the Study
By writing this term paper, there are some benefits for the institution, for the readers, and for me. For the institution, I expect this term paper can make the staff of Creative Learning, especially the English teachers who deals with the children, to get some useful information about how to make their students concentrate on the lesson. Therefore, they will not find difficulties in dealing with them. Moreover, I expect this study can make the readers know how to deal with the students or children who cannot concentrate on the lesson when they are studying. Furthermore, by writing this term paper, I can share my experience to the readers and in the future if I work as a teacher I can apply the solution and know how to handle children who cannot concentrate on the lesson.
D. Description of the Institution
Creative Learning (hencefort, CL) is a non-formal educational institution whose program is to give English language education as a second language or foreign langauge to young learners. In C.L. there are also other programs such as calistung and math.

additional teaching material. C.L. also uses computer software to provide children to have good, fun and effective ways in learning.
E. Method of the Study
For my term paper, I collect the data from my observation during my internship which is from the 5th grade student; there are 4 students in total. I recorded all the data in my internship journal and read some books which I found in Maranatha Christian University library. In addition, I also searched the Internet to get more data.
F. Limitation of the Study
My term paper will only deal with how to handle children of 5th grade who cannot concentrate on the lesson in Creative Learning. The observation was done during my internship program from 18th January 2010 until 27th February 2010.

CONCLUSION
When learning, students sometimes have some difficulties with concentration. This problem can be caused by many things. The causes
are the other students’ noisy sound distracts the students’ concentration
on the lesson, the students feel tired and sleepy, and the students have something interesting on their mind and want to tell it immediately. These causes have some effects which are the student cannot understand the lesson, the lesson cannot run smoothly, and the teacher feels discouraged to teach the students. To handle this problem there are some solutions. The solutions are telling the students not to do things which disturb other students, letting the students have a break for 5 minutes, and using more variety techniques in teaching.
intention of being angry with them and therefore the lesson can run smoothly. If the student keep doing the unnecessary thing I will give them some break, as a result, the students might feel better after taking a rest for a while and the teacher can continue the lesson. To support the two solutions I will use also the third solution which is using some varieties in teaching. By using teaching aids and varying the teaching technique the students can concentrate more on the lesson.
The combination of those three solutions is useful to help the student get focus on the lesson, because those three solutions support one another. If I only tell them to stop, the students might not listen to what I said. In orders to help them gain their concentration I give them a break. However, sometimes it is useless by only giving a break if the same technique is still used in teaching. The students might get bored with the common teaching technique, therefore I use some varieties to get their attention and this will help them to concentrate on the lesson. I am sure that the combination of those three solutions is very effective to help them to concentrate on the lesson.
