PREFACE
First of all, the researcher would like to thank to God who has guidance,
merciful and his permission, so that he can finish writing his thesis as partial
fulfillment to get S. Pd degree.

ABSTRACT
A Correlation between Student’s Reading Interest of English Book and
Writing Ability
Departement of Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Muhammadiyah university of Purwokerto in academic year 2013/2014.
The research method was Correlation study. The writer used random sampling to get the sample. The technique of collecting the data was taken from
Writing Test, and students’ reading interest questionnaire. After the data collected, the writing test and questionnaire result was analyzed by Pearson product moment correlation formula, and then made conclusion.
The result of this study showed that there was a correlation between
students’ writing ability and reading English interest. The student’ ability of
