Brothers and Sisters,      As I was reflecng on the readings for this weekend, I was struck at 4:30 PM Florence Brzykcy (Family) how fing they are for not only the celebraon of Trinity Sunday but also how fing they are for what we are going through as a country. The Holy Sunday, June 7 Trinity is the central mystery of our faith. The Father, Son, and Holy 8:30 AM Conrad & Joan Przybysz (Family) Spirit, this One God in Three Persons. In trying to unpack and relate what the Trinity illustrates to us can be somewhat challenging. We use phrases like “Hypostac Union,” 10:00 AM Chet Yanke (Deacon Ed & Joan or “Consubstanal,” but what is really at the heart of the revelaon of God in the Holy Gardias)  Trinity? What we understand as Chrisans and what our Jewish brothers and sisters also understand (without acknowledging the Trinity) is that God and His Oneness, is not 11:30 AM Parishioners of St. Adalbert only a singular God but that the essence of God is a communion of persons or a perfect Monday, June 8 unity within Himself. God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to show us his desire for us to enter into that perfect union with Him. Tuesday, June 9 Our faith and our acons have to coincide, this is what has become so evident as a need for our country. If we say on Sunday that I love God and my neighbor, but the 6:30 PM Mike Spanulo (Family rest of the week do not illustrate that love to our neighbor and to God in word and deed then our statement on Sunday is hollow. The naonal divisions that we see are Wednesday, June 10 not merely racial divides, but a queson of Human Dignity. There are two quesons 8:30 AM Jim Plucinski (Janyce Heasley) are at the heart of any social discord. Do we see Christ in others? Do we believe that everyone is created in the image and likeness of God? While there are many other Thursday, June 11 quesons and issues that need to be discussed and remedied, the most basic quesons 6:30 AM Irene Dalgleish (Kim Miller) are about what it means to be human and the dignity of each human person.   The second reading this week is so fing, 2 Corinthians is o4en glossed over, but in Friday, June 12 looking at it more closely the words of St. Paul echo of the same problem in the early 8:30 AM Ruth Rakoczi (Connie & Dick Ber/no) church as is happening to us today. In Corinth during this me there was civil unrest, there was disparity between rich and poor and a divide and resentment in the early Saturday, June 13 church. On top of that, there were people whom St. Paul refers to as “false apostles” 4:30 PM Steve Kilo (Steve & Marlene Martue) and “decei5ul workers” sowing the seeds of dissenon and discord. Our reading today comes from the final passage of his le6er:    Sunday, June 14    “Brothers and sisters, rejoice.    Mend your ways, encourage one another, 8:30 AM Bill & Pauline Wiechowski (Family)    agree with one another, live in peace,    and the God of love and peace will be with you. 10:00 AM Lou Ann Cushman (The Wolfe    Greet one another with a holy kiss. Family)    All the holy ones greet you.”     These words are not only fing for the celebraon of the Holy Trinity, and the 11:30 AM Parishioners of St. Adalbert Unity of God that He desires to share with all of us, but also the unity that we should Please keep our First Communicants have with one another if we desire to enter His Glorious Union. I have been praying and discerning as to where God is calling me and have decided to take some /me to spend with family and pursue other opportuni/es. This has been a difficult decision since St Adalbert has been my home for almost 11 years.   I want to thank you for the love and support you have given me in my /me as Director of Religious Educa/on and Parish Cateche/cal Leader. We have weathered many changes and grown our Faith Forma/on Program to be one filled with community and service. Our Sacrament Programs are Christ centered and support the teachings of the Catholic Church in ways that are interac/ve and have real meaning for the children and teens. I have enjoyed watching your children grow in their faith. I will con/nue to pray for you and ask that you pray for me and my family. I came across this reflec/on during my daily prayer /me. God has a way of speaking to us when we need him the most! I pray that you will con/nue to go forth spreading the love of God knowing he will always be with you. “Go forth to do the work for which God has elected you.
