Editorial Note

C. Heipke, Secretary General ISPRS

Institute or Photogrammetry and GeoInformation, Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany

I, as editor of the ISPRS proceedings series The International Archives of the Photogrammetry,  Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, have formally withdrawn this paper entitled  Documentation, Multi‐scale and Multi‐dimensional Representation of Cultural Heritage for the  Policies of Redevelopment, Development and Regeneration by Alessandro De Masi, as it contains a  significant amount of ideas and sentences taken from other sources without reference.

The paper was submitted to and initially accepted for the International CIPA Symposium 2015. Later,  CIPA detected that the paper is not an original publication from the author, as parts of the paper  were previously published in www.gdmc.nl/publications/reports/GISt62.pdf, a PhD proposal entitled  "The concept of level of detail in 3D city models", published by Ir. Filip Biljecki in February 2013. CIPA  then recommended to the ISPRS Council to withdraw the paper, and the ISPRS Council supported this  recommendation. ISPRS is the parent organisation of CIPA. The decision was then forwarded to the  author.

Ever since the first volume appeared in 1908, and in particular In the recent past, ISPRS has tried very  hard to maintain the quality and integrity of its proceedings series. Under no circumstances does  ISPRS accept or tolerate scientific misconduct, and the society is committed to prevent, detect and  prosecute it.

Finally we discuss tie- points’ spatial distribution patterns in modern aerial triangulation, focusing on feature-based matching as the currently dominant method.. We
