7. CONSUMPTION
In Table 7.1, the average household consumption per capita a week according to the meat group in 2021 compared to 2020 has an increase in several commodities, broiler meat increased by 8.62 percent and native chicken meat by 14.29 percent.
Meanwhile, beef and pork are still the same compared to the previous year. The increase in average household consumption per capita a week of native chicken eggs is higher than layer eggs. The increase in native chicken egg consumption was 11.11 percent, while layer eggs were only 4.10 percent.
The largest participation in food of animal origin consumption by the Indonesian people in 2021 was eggs consumption at 92.20 percent, followed by fish at 91.11 percent and poultry meat at 60.22 percent. While beef is only 7.05 percent.
Table 7.3 shows that the average household calorie consumption per capita a day for the egg and milk group decreased during the 2021 pandemic compared to the beginning of the 2020 pandemic, which was 0.12 kcal (0.20 percent). Meanwhile, the meat group increased by 5.24 kcal (8.06 percent). In 2021, the proportion of household calorie consumption per capita a day for the meat group, as well as the egg and dairy groups, to the total grocery group was 3.28 percent and 2.82 percent, respectively.
The proportion of meat groups is greater compared to the egg and dairy groups.
The average household protein consumption per capita a day for the meat group in 2021 was 4.38 grams (Table 7.3) or increased by 8.15 percent compared to 2020 consumption. Meanwhile, the egg and milk groups were 3.49 grams or increased by 0.58 percent. The proportion of household protein consumption per capita a day for the meat group and the egg and dairy group to the total food group in 2021 was 7.03 percent and 5.60 percent, respectively. The proportion of meat groups is greater compared to the egg and dairy groups.
In 2021, the average per capita expenditure a month for the nonfood group was higher than that for the food group (Table 7.4). The expenditure of the food group was 622,845 rupiah (49.25 percent), and the non-food group was 641,744 rupiah (50.75 percent). The proportion of meat group expenditure to food group expenditure was 29,539 rupiah (4.74 percent), while the egg and dairy group was 35,241 rupiah (5.66 percent).

Data konsumsi/pengeluaran rata-rata per kapita yang disajikan dalam publikasi ini diperoleh dari hasil bagi jumlah konsumsi seluruh rumah tangga (baik konsumsi makanan maupun bukan makanan tanpa memperhatikan asal barang baik berasal dari pembelian, produksi sendiri maupun pemberian) terhadap jumlah penduduk.
