The Graduate or Faculty Manager shall receive such remuneration for his services and ex- penses as may be approved by the Advisory Board, and such remuneration shall be paid from any funds _ received by the Advisory Board for the promotion of atbletlcs. The Alumni Advisory Board on Athletks shall be responsible for all debts Incurred by the Association.

tion. He shall submit at the end of eaeh term a complete financial report to tile Athletic Association and to the Alumni Advisory Board on Athletics.

The student manager of the different sports shall be assistant manager and shall act for the Graduate or Faculty Manager either upon his request or during Ilis ahsPll('e.

ARTfCLE Iv-DUTIES OF O~'FICERS

Section 1. Tile Presi,lent sball pl'cside lit meetings of the Association and of til(' Council. He may call meetings of the Council or of the Association, provided they he given reasonable publicity. Ten Assoda- tlon members can call u meeting of tile association by signed and posted notices.

Section 5. Any member of the Council having three consecutive unexcused ausences'shall be suspended from the Coun·

cil.

Section 6.. The Athletic Conncil is the executive board of this AssociatIon. It shall direct the policies, grant the privileges and the franchises of this Association, and determine the manner of granting the same, and under due provocation revoke any privilege granted.

Section 7. All stUdents who have par- ticipated in anyone Intercollegiate game during the season shall meet at tte call of the reUring captain and elect the cap- tain for the ensuing y~ar.

Section 8. Any student of Alfred Uni- versity paying the dues of the Association Is ellgibJe to vote in matters of business and shall be entitled to admission to the games under Its auspices; and, under reasonable restrictions )rnposed ,Ily this ARsociation, can become a participant in Its games, and eligible to wear Its hon- ors and insignia.

Section 9. 'l'he President, Vice Presi- dent and Secretary of the Association shall meet with the Alumni hoard and determine the respective parts in a future program.

Section 10. The chairman of the Faculty Committee on Athletics shalJ be a member of tbe Alumni board.

See. 2. IDvery athletE who is entitled to a first team insignia in either major or minor sports, shall receive a certificate rlesignating the anthority for wearing the letter. This certificate shall he signed by the CIHtirman of the Atl1J.etic Committee (faculty). the Coach and the President of the Athletic Council.

Sec. 4. Class numerals sball be three·

To women, for participation in at least half the playing time in two inter·class

To men, for participation in half the' playing time on one of the Freshman Var- sity teams, or upon recommendation hy the coacb after the same manner as the Var- sity letter awards.

Section 5. After recommendation by the Council, the Athletic Association may vote to make some award to an indIvidual, who has rendered some exceptional service to the Association.

Sf!C. 5. After recommendation by the Athletic Association any person awarded

Sec. 7. Amendments to this constitu- tion can he made by a two-thirds vote after having been publlshed in the Fiat Lux.

AR'£ICLE vI-MANAGERS

Sec. 1. Managers, assistant managers, trainers, anrl cheer leaders, shall be aWl1rd- ed on the following competitive basis:

Sophomores shl1ll be permitted to try out I1S managers, trainers and cbeer leaders, after. informing the Aahletic Council of their intention, and upon reporting to the manager of the sport, the trainer, or the head cheer leader.

Sec. 2. At tbe close of eacb sport tbe hoard shall choose two Junior assistants for the following year.

Sec. 3. From the Junior assistants, Managers, Trainers, and Cheer leaders, shall he chosen the Varsity alid Freshmen Mana·

gel's, the 'Trainer and head cbeer leade'r for thl' following year.

ARTICLE VII

Section 1. 'The sports for girls for which an "A" may he granted, are basketball, track and tennis.

Section 2. Every girl who is entitled to a first team insignia, shall receive aceI"

tificate designating the authority for wear- ing the· letter. This certificate shall he signed by the Chairman of the Athletic Com- mittee (faculty), the Coach and the Presi- dent of the Athletic Council.

Section 3. The insignia for girls' ~ports

shall be a fiv.",lnch hlock "A." There shall be no second team insignia.

Any girl participating In inter-collegiate sports, must play in one-half the playing time each season-there being a schedule of at least three collegiate contests-to wIn tl,e insignia, except on the approval of the Athletic Council, after recommendation hy tbe Coach.

Any girl out for Varsity baskethall for four years, or after fla ving participated in inter- dass basketball for four years--entire sea·

son each year-shall, upon recommendation of the Coach and approval of the Athletic Council, receive the insignia. Names shall be flIed with the Athletic Association at the end of each season, and recommen(led by the Coach.

Any girl hreaking a track record shall receive an insignia.

Any girl who shall win 0. tennis tourn- IIment with at least ten original entries in singles, or six entries in doubles shall re- ceive the tennis insignia.
