Title : Increasing Students Speaking Proficiency Through ARIAS Strategy (A Classroom Action Research at the Eight Year Students of Mts. Increasing the Students' Speaking Proficiency ) by ARIAS Strategy (A Classroom Action Research with the Eight-Year-Old Students of Mts. Muhammadiyah Cambajawaya, Gowa) 2), under the thesis of the English Education Department the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Makassar Muhammadiyah University (supervised by Abdul Waris Hamid, and Awalia Azis) .
This study aimed to explain the increase in students' fluency in terms of accuracy in handling vocabulary and grammar, and fluency in handling fluency and confidence. The subject in this study was class VIII in the academic year 2013-2014, with a student body of 40 students. The research results indicated that the application of the ARIAS strategy was significant in increasing the students' fluency in terms of accuracy and fluency.
Therefore, there was an increase in students' speaking skills in terms of accuracy in vocabulary and grammar, and fluency in terms of polish and confidence. 44 Table 7: Percentage of students' fluency in speaking. 45 Table 8: Percentage of students' confidence in speaking.

- Scope of the Study
However, it cannot be denied that the way teachers teach students affects the performance or the outcome of learning. Students will learn more easily in class if teachers use an appropriate method or strategy in class. These things are the safety, the relevance of the material, the students' interest in the learning process, and also the way to measure their abilities or assessment.
With this in mind, the researcher would like to do an action research on increasing students' speaking so that the solution is teaching speaking using the ARIAS strategy. ARIAS provides a complete strategy that will motivate students to speak and increase their speaking ability. It will increase students' confidence in speaking and encourage them to be active in the classroom.
Increasing students' speaking accuracy through the ARIAS Strategy among eight-year students of Mts. Muhammadiyah Cambajawaya in using the ARIAS strategy to increase students' speaking ability, focused on students' accuracy covered by grammar and vocabulary and fluency covered by fluency and confidence.
REVIEW OF THE RELATED LITERATURE
ARIAS Strategy
In the learning process, the teacher not only believes that the students will be able to learn more easily, but also that they will have more confidence in their own abilities. The significance of this change is the first attempt in the learning process to build students' self-confidence. Relevance relates to students' lives, whether it is their current or past experiences related to their careers.
Keller also states that in the learning process interest should not only be aided but also maintained during the learning process. Some methods can be used to increase students' willingness to learn: the teacher uses a story, an analogy, a series of pictures or something new in teaching, the teacher makes some variations of the learning activity, such as minor variations of the situation from serious to humorous, from slow to be quick and stylish in teaching. Evaluation is one of the main parts of the learning process, both for teachers and students.
Success and pride strengthen students for the next success (Gagne and Driscoll, 1988: 70). Some ways can be used to satisfy the students; give the students the opportunity to apply their skills or knowledge in the real situation or simulation.
Elements of Speaking Proficiency
It is the use of different pitches and pitch changes to convey meaning in a sentence. The individual sounds of English may differ from the sounds of your native language. Each of these elements contributes to a person being a competent and clear speaker of English, and no single element is the key to good pronunciation.
Fluency is the state of being able to speak the language smoothly and easily, and students should communicate easily with other friends. Language teachers who focus on fluency help their students express themselves in fluent English. Accuracy is the state of being correct or exact and without error, especially as a result of careful effect.
Students sometimes have difficulty remembering all the vocabulary they know because they do not practice and use it. According to Oxford, pronunciation is the way a language or a particular word or sound is pronounced.
Conceptual Framework
Qualitative descriptive research in Classroom Action Research (KAR) designed through the application of learning models ARIAS Strategy in increasing students'. This research followed the main work of Classroom Action Research (CAR which consists of four phases, that is: Planning, Implementation of Action, Observation and Reflection). The time of this research was carried out in the first semester of the school year 2013/2014.
Research Subject
Research Variables and Indicators
Research Procedure
Lesson plan based on the curriculum, and arrange lesson planning materials based on the ARIAS strategy in learning to speak. The teacher explains the general description about ARIAS Strategy, and the general description about speaking. Then reflect by examining the result of the observation, whether the teaching-learning process of increasing speaking skills by using the ARIAS strategy achieves success criteria based on the test result of the first action.
The observation was the data collection activity related to the English learning process that has problem solving and learning strategy. So, in this stage the researcher asked for the students' participation and response during the teaching and learning process to measure the students' skills after implementing the ARIAS strategy. Then, reflect by looking at the result of the observation, whether the teaching learning process of increasing speaking skills using the ARIAS strategy achieves the success criteria based on the result of the second action test.
In this second cycle, the observer draws the conclusion of the application of ARIAS strategy to improve students' speaking skills in the eight-year students of Mts.
Research Instrument
Based on the classroom action research paradigm, there were two main instruments that were used to collect data, namely the observation list and the speaking test score. It was used to observe students' activities during the teaching and learning process for each cycle when using the ARIAS strategy. This was also knowing the concept of understanding achievement and mastery after the learning activity.

FINDINGS AND DISCUSSIONS
Discussions
The application of ARIAS Strategy to increase the students' speaking accuracy in terms of vocabulary, the difference can be seen by considering the results of the students' Diagnostic Test and the students' performance afterwards. The application of ARIAS in increasing the students' speaking fluency in terms of smoothness, the difference can be clearly seen by considering the result of the students' observation data and the students'. The increase in the students' speaking skills which deals with the students' speaking accuracy and students' speaking fluency.
The result of the data analysis through the speaking test shows the students' speaking skills in terms of accuracy and fluency increase. It was indicated by the mean score of the students' D-test result being 55.71, it was classified as poor performance. These points were obtained from the performance test of the students' speaking accuracy and fluency.
The vocabulary indicator of students' speaking accuracy in the first cycle has increased from the diagnostic test. The increase was higher than the increase from the diagnostic test in cycle I, because the learning material was interesting for increasing the students' vocabulary. In the first cycle, students' speaking grammar was not worse than other indicators, such as vocabulary.
The significant increase was obtained in cycle II because the teaching language material was really suitable for increasing the students' grammar. The indicator of smoothness of the students' speaking fluency in the first cycle increased from Diagnostic test. The increase was higher than the increase from Diagnostic test to cycle I because the teaching material was suitable to increase the students' fluency.
The result of raising students' self-confidence is evident after testing and observation (speaking test of the first cycle), while the average score was 65.12. It was shown that there was an increase from the diagnostic test to Cycle I because the mean score of the students on the diagnostic test was only 62.00. The use of the ARIAS strategy was able to increase the speaking fluency of students dealing with fluency and confidence in Grades I and II.
CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION
Suggestion
Very poor 00 – 35 They speak very hastily and several sentences are not appropriate in smoothness and little or no communication. It would be three rupees fifty paise by letter post, and two rupees twenty five paise by parcel post. Mohan: But it is already fifteen minutes past four and there is still no sign of its arrival.
Investigating Officer: I'm afraid it's over an hour late, and we've already announced it's late. It is a potential resort and it is very sad to hear that the government has no intention of renovating it.
