Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis (1) kesalahan penggunaan kata depan oleh mahasiswa IAIN Metro English (2) jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa;. 3) faktor yang menyebabkan kesalahan dalam penggunaan preposisi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) siswa melakukan kesalahan dalam penggunaan jenis preposisi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis (1) kesalahan dalam penggunaan kata depan oleh mahasiswa IAIN Metro English (2) jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa; (3) faktor yang menyebabkan kesalahan dalam penggunaan preposisi.

The researcher described and analyzed the types of errors in the use of the preposition in, on and at and the causes of the errors. The data are all errors found when using the v, na, and at template. Errors in the use of the preposition "in" are divided into two types of errors, incorrect formatting and addition.

Misformation errors mean that the use of "at", "on" and "of" is taken over by "in". What are the causal factors of errors in the use of prepositions in writing abstract.

Crystal defines EA in language teaching and learning as "the study of the unacceptable forms produced by someone learning a language, especially a foreign language".13 Furthermore, James points out that EA refers to "the study of linguistic ignorance, the study of what people do. don't know and how they try to cope with their ignorance".14 For Abi Samra, EA is defined as the kind of linguistic analysis that concentrates on errors made by ESL or EFL learners.15. A good way to test whether a word is a preposition, is to place it in front of sentences like "the box" or "the side of the box" and see if the sentence makes sense. For preposition relating to time, try placing the preposition in front of a sentence like "the movie".( This rule works for about nine out of ten prepositions).

Mark Twain once said, "The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bolt." In addition, in the last cycle the majority of students (70%) succeed in passing the minimum standard criteria (MSC) of the English language.

Based on the statement above, the researcher collected the data from documents of English students' writing on undergraduate thesis of the State Institute of Islamic Studies of Metro in the academic year. The total of the Students in State Institute of Islamic Studies of Metro is 7440 students. The purpose of this research is to find out whether using constant and never-ending improvement (cani) as a strategy can increase the students' speaking performance of the eleventh grade at SMA Negeri 1 Raman Utara.

We can conclude that the dominant type of suggestion for sentence writing error used by students in writing a summary during the Metro National Institute of Islamic Studies undergraduate assignment is the 131-point connection. RESULT OF THE RESEARCH AND DISCUSSION

The Historical Background of IAIN Metro

As an Islamic institute which is one of the favorite universities, IAIN Metro has a vision and a mission. Then, to realize the vision, he puts together some missions, namely: the development of the three pillars of the university (education, research and development, and service society), the development and dissemination of technology in Islamic culture, and the creation of academics who are smart, competent and have good morals. In addition, Islamic culture is a special feature of the academic culture of this institute compared to mainstream universities.

Furthermore, IAIN Metro as the Islamic institute has an education system which is based on the Islamic values. In the discussion of YKIL, it was an agreement to implement two faculties, Faculty of Education and Faculty of Islamic Law, which were based in TanjungKarang. Finally, it realized the dream of the Lampung community to found IAIN Al-Jami'ah based on the Minister of Religious Affairs Decree No.

Similarly, in 1967, the Faculty of Education and Islamic Law was established in the metro city based on the request of the metro society. And finally, on August 1, 2016 changed to the State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) and was. Now IAIN Metro has four faculties, namely tarbiya faculty, syari'ah faculty, economics business faculty and Islamic announcement and communication faculty.

In addition, Syari'ah faculty includes Islamic Law Department (AS), Islamic Economic Law (Hesy) and Islamic Constitutional Law (HTNI). Furthermore, Islamic Economics and Business Faculty consists of D3 syari'ah banking (D3 PBS), bachelor's degree in syari'ah banking (S1 PBS), Islamic economics study program (ESy), Islamic accounting (AKS) and pilgrimage management (MHU). In order to support lectures and students, there are some facilities in state institute of Islamic studies of metro namely;.

English Education Study Program (TBI)

The purpose of this research is to show that the use of problem-based learning strategy can increase students' reading comprehension and learning activities in the seventh graders of SMP Negeri 02 Pubian in the academic year 2017/2018. The purpose of this research is to show that the use of a problem-based learning strategy can increase students' reading comprehension and students' learning activity in seventh-graders MAN 1 METRO. The objective of this research is to determine whether the use of continuous and never-ending improvement (cani) as a strategy could increase the speaking performance of eleventh grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Raman Utara.

The purpose of this research is to show that the use of Community Language Learning (CLL) method can increase the students' speaking performance and students' learning activities at the seventh grade of MTs Al-Hikmah Batanghari. Moreover, the change of the students' speaking performance score could be known through post-tests given in each cycle. In summary, it can be said that the use of Community Language Learning (CLL) method can increase the students' speaking performance at the seventh grade of MTs Al-Hikmah Batanghari.

ON STUDENTS READING IN DESCRIPTIVE TEXT IN GRADE SEVEN STUDENTS OF SMP NEGERI 02. It means that the use of Increasing Students' Listening Comprehension Using Dictogloss Method in the eleventh grade of WalorgoumiampuNu. This means that the use of Board Game can increase students' speaking performance in the eighth grade of SMP N 1 Metro Kibang East Lampung.

The aim of this study is to demonstrate that using the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) strategy can improve students' reading comprehension and learning activities in the tenth grade of MAN 1 Lampung Timur. In addition, the change in the score for the students' comprehension ability could be announced through a post-test given in each cycle. This study aims to find out whether the SLOW CaPS technique can improve descriptive text writing skills in MA Darul Amal Metro Barat tenth graders.

Factor of Errors

According to Zeinab Gvarishvili Akdeniz Language Studies Conference 2012 Interference of L1 prepositional knowledge in the acquisition of prepositional use in English. Negative transfer interference of L1 causes interlingual errors, but it can be doubled with intralingual errors - overgeneralization. Based on these examples, we can state that some interlingual errors can also cause intralingual errors.

General Description of Research Data

It means that the use of the SLOW CaPS technique could improve the students' writing skills of the tenth graders at MA Darul Amal Metro Barat. In cycle 2, student activities consisted of 21 active students (100%) and 0 inactive students (0%). This result also drew conclusions that Constant and Never Ending Improvement (CANI) strategy was able to increase students' speaking performance. Regarding the research process, the researcher gave the pretest for the students to know their speaking performance scores.

The result of the research illustrated that the average score of the students in pretest was 62.11 and after test 1 was 64.88 and after test 2 in cycle II was obtained the average score was 66.19. Furthermore, the implementation of the students' reading comprehension ability can be seen from the course of the average score in the pretest, posttest I and posttest II. The result of the research illustrated that the average score of the students in pre-test was 62 and after test 1 was 73 and after test 2 in cycle II was obtained the average score was 77.

It means that the use of SLOW CaPS technique could improve the writing skills of the students in the tenth graders of MA Darul Amal Metro Barat. The researcher uses Chi-Square to find out whether the peer tutoring method influences the speaking performance of the students.
