The present study will focus on: “Using Question-Answer-Relationship (QAR) Strategy to Improve Students' Reading Ability in Eleventh Grade by Ma Ma'arif 06 Seputih Raman”. Therefore, the writer will research the influence of using Question and Answer Relationship Strategy against reading ability on eleventh grade of MA Ma'arif 06 Seputih Raman. Based on the background of the study and problem identification "is there any positive and significant influence of using Question Answer Relationship Strategy against reading ability on eleventh grade of MA Ma'arif 06 Seputih Raman".

If there is a positive and significant influence of using Question Answer Relationship Strategy towards reading skill in eleventh grade MA Ma'arif 06 Seputih Raman. The first researcher is Tri Anggeraini, Mukhaiyar, Hamzah with the title "Effect of Question Answer Relationships (Qars) Reading Strategy and Motivation towards Students' Reading Comprehension on Descriptive Text in Class X of Sman 4 Lubuklinggau". The second researcher is Lilla Roosantie with the title "The effect of the question-answer relationship on the result of reading comprehension of students of the first grades of Smk".

Question and answer relationship strategy is a strategy that helps students understand the different types of questions. There are some procedures that teachers must go through before applying the question-and-answer relationship strategy. Based on the explanation above, Procedure of Question and Answer Relationship which consists of Right There, Think and Seek, Author and you, alone, who are still related.

Based on the above explanation, there are three advantages of the question-answer relationship, namely that the teacher provides the strategy included in the framework. According to the above explanation, the relationship between question and answer has three disadvantages: it takes more time to prepare a lesson.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Independent Variable

Dependent Variable

Research Location

In this campaign, the researcher conducts pre-testing, treatment and post-testing to the students. From the observation sheet, the researcher and collaborator must know the result of the students' learning activity. In addition, the researcher measured the teaching of speaking for students who felt that the QAR was a pre- and post-test data collection.

The result of the students' pre-test results can be seen in the table below: The observation of students is carried out when the learning process continued with the activity of students with observation sheets. The observation of the students' activity is carried out at the time when the learning process continued.

From the results of the pretest shown that most of the students find it difficult to answer the test. The percentage of the students' grade of the students at pretest, posttest 1 and posttest 2.

Subject of the Study

Action Plan

The researcher wants to divide the research into two cycles of action research in the classroom. The researcher makes a plan on how to stimulate the students with the technique and based on the cycle. In classroom action research, the researcher would like to divide the research into two cycles.

In this implementation, the researcher follows the schedule of English subject in the class and additional class. While observing, the researcher and collaborator use observation sheet to write down the important things as long as the learning process took place. In this step, the researcher and collaborator analyze how the effect of the acting is, which thing needed to be repaired and which thing gets attention in the next acting.

When the investigator found the problem in the first cycle, the investigator will fix the problem in the next cycle. The researcher and collaborator reflect all the acting work performed and identify the result of observation in the learning process and compare the score of pre-test and post-test.

Data Collection Technique

  • Test
  • Documentation
  • Observation

First, the author used pre-test to know about the use of Question Answer Strategy Relation against reading ability, in this case the riter give pre-test before the students receive treatment by using QAR strategy. Based on this result, the author knows the students' ability to read and knows the weakness of the learning process. Second, post-test was a test-give to measure the outcome variable after experimental manipulation as implemented.

Documentary frequency studies are undertaken to identify and count certain characteristics found in documents under consideration. According to Geoffrey Marczyk, this states that observation means more than just observing the world around us to get ideas for research.37 In this case, the author of observation made use of the data about the students' activity or participation. Further observation than usd to get information from relatively source of the students at the eleventh grade of MA Ma'arif 06 Seputih Raman.

Data Collecting Instrument

Data Analysis Technique

The student numbers of MA Ma'arif 06 Seputih Raman in the academic year 2019/2020 can be identified as follows:. At the end of the meeting, the teacher motivated the students and encouraged the student to complete the material. This meeting was started with prayer and greeting, checking the attendance list and asking about the condition of the students.

To see that the students read English before implementing the treatment, the researcher conducted the pre-test. To see how the students read English after implementing the treatment, the researcher conducted the post-test 1. To see how the students read English after implementing the treatment, the researcher conducted the post-test 2.

Based on table 15, it can be seen that the student average was 78.09, this showed that most of the students succeeded in achieving the minimum mastery criteria (75). The students' attention to the teacher's explanation from the first meeting to the next meeting was improved. Based on the explanation above, it can be deduced that the students' learning activity took place increasingly from cycle I to cycle II.

Discussion

  • The Result of students Learning
  • Result Observation of Students Activity

Based on table 7, the student average was 54.04, this shows that most of the students have not yet succeeded in achieving the minimum mastery criteria (75). Based on table 9, the student average was 65.47, this showed that most of the students have not yet succeeded in achieving the minimum mastery criteria (75). The increase is caused by the use of the Question-Answer Relationship strategy in the learning process that the students are directly related to and doing the activity in the learning process.

The students who asked or answered questions from the teacher improved from the first meeting to the next meeting. The students fluency in reading text The students read and understand the text The students clarity in reading text. It was caused on the learning in cycle II that the students started to be responsible for themselves, so that it can bring the good effect on the activity in the learning process.

Based on the data collected and analysis, the study concludes that the use of memory strategies can increase students' reading ability. It can be seen in the result increase of post-test in cycle 1 and post-test in cycle 2. The result of pre-test and post-test shows that there is an increase in pre-test and post-test.

There was an increase of approximately 11.47 points from pretest to posttest cycle I, and an increase of approximately 12.62 points from posttest cycle 1 to pot test cycle 2. This means that the action hypothesis has been accepted, which states that by using the question-answer relationship (QAR) strategy, students will be able to improve their reading ability. This method can increase their ability in learning English, especially reading ability, and students are suggested to use the answer to the questions.

The English teacher can use Question Answer Relationship strategy in the reading ability in the class because these strategies are effective in increasing the students' reading ability in learning and the teacher gives motivation to the students to be active in teaching and learning process.

CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION

Suggestion

We suggest that another researcher develop this research with a new innovation and hope that the result of this research can be a reference.
