THE USE OF BRAIN STORMING TECHNIQUE INFLUENCE ON THE STUDENTS' DESCRIPTIVE WRITING ABILITY AMONG THE TENTH GRADE OF SMK PGRI 1 PUNGGUR IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2018. The purpose of this research was to find out the effect of using the students' descriptive technique to write , in tenth grade in SMK PGRI 1 Punggur. The sample of this research was taken from 20 students in experimental class (X-AP) and 20 students in control class (X-P).

After analyzing the data, the writer got; (1) The students' performance in writing descriptive text through brainstorming technique was given the mean of 82.27 and the standard deviation was 4.65 (2) The student's performance in writing descriptive text that was conventionally taught , achieved the mean of 75.07 and the standard deviation was 3.60. It means that there was a significant effect of using Brainstorming technique on students' written performance. Before using the brainstorming technique in descriptive writing, the student's score is low, and after using the technique, the student's score is better.

The results data count of descriptive text writing of the first semester among the students at grade ten of SMK PGRI 1 Punggur in the academic year. Referring to the table above, it can be concluded that the students' descriptive writing is low. Furthermore, to solve the problems, there are many techniques that can be used by the teacher and the students.

Based on the recognition of the problems that students have in creating a new idea, the author conducts a research entitled The impact of brainstorming techniques on the descriptive writing ability of students in the tenth grade of SMK PGRI 1 Punggur. Based on the background of the study and the above problem identification, the writer formulates the problem in this research: "Is there any positive and significant impact of using brainstorming technique on descriptive writing ability of tenth grade students of SMK PGRI 1 Punggur?". Overall, the objective of this study is to determine whether there is a positive and significant effect of using brainstorming technique on the descriptive writing ability of students in the tenth grade of SMK PGRI 1 Punggur.

As information for students to apply descriptive writing effectively using the brainstorming technique. As a guide for English teachers to facilitate student teaching using the brainstorming technique in descriptive writing.

According to I.S.P Nation argued that writing is an activity that can be usefully prepared by working on the other skills of listening, speaking and reading.2 This means that preparation can make it possible for words that are used receptively enter into productive use. . Furthermore, according to Yakhontova, writing is a complex process that requires a number of different skills.3 It means that writing is the most complex skill because the writer must master other skills such as listening, speaking and reading. . It is the ability of a writer to communicate information to a reader or a group of readers.4 It means that writing is the ability to provide information to other people.

It can also evoke mental states, such as happiness, loneliness, or fear.5 It means that it used to describe more than the outward appearance of people. Expository is used in providing information, making explanations and interpreting meanings. 7 It means that in presentation it gives more information and explanation about something good. 6R.R Jordan, Academic Writing Course Study Skill in English, third edition, (England: Pearson Education Limited, 2003), p. The report refers to the observation, research or study of the thing, animal, people or place. 8 It means that the report clearly refers to the above characteristic.

This means that they cannot be used for anything other than flying. The condition of teachers and official employers in SMK PGRI 1 Punggur in the academic year 2018/2019. To prepare the table to prove whether there is any difference between the experimental class and the control class among the Tenth graders of SMK PGRI 1' Students in academic year 2018/2019. The use of the Venn diagram may be known to have a significant impact on the descriptive writing skills of the students at Tenth Graders or SMK PGRI 1.

This means that there is significant influence from the Brainstorming technique on the students' descriptive writing ability in tenth graders at SMK PGRI 1 in the academic year 2018/2019. This research was conducted on the tenth grades of SMK PGRI 1, so the result was only limited to this grade. It means that there is significant influence of Brain Storing technique through descriptive writing ability of eleventh grade students in SMK PGRI 1 Punggur Central Lampung, in the academic year 2018/2019.

RESULT OF THE RESEARCH

Research Setting

SMK PGRI 1 Punggur Lampung Tengah is located in Tanggul angin, in the Punggur district of central Lamung. Based on the frequency distribution table above, it can be deduced that all students note who has passed more than 62, which is the minimum mastery criteria (KKM). Therefore, it can be inferred that the students' descriptive writing ability in the post-test is increased or easy to say is good. Moreover, this research was conducted on the academic year of and then the result of this research is only for that year. The data confirms that toobserved is higher than ttable, therefore it can be concluded that Hi is accepted and Ho is rejected.
