One of the techniques that can be used in English teaching learning is brainstorming technique that is able to increase students' analytical expository writing ability. The purpose of the research to know if the teacher uses the total physical response method can affect the students' analytical report writing ability. The subjects of this research are 34 students from the eleventh grades of the Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Pekalongan.

The English teacher of the eleventh graders of the Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Pekalongan who provided valuable guidance, advice, help and. Praise be to Allah SWT, the lord of the universe, the inspiration of her life, that the writer finally published the research proposal titled “THE INFLUENCE OF APPLYING BRAINSTORMING TECHNIQUE TOWARD ANALYTICAL EXPOSITION WRITING SKILLS AMONG THE Eleventh GRADES OF THE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL FROM MUHAMMADIYAH 1 PEKALONGAN EAST LAMPUNG. Also for the students who are in the 11th graders of the Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Pekalongan in the academic year 2010/2011 and help her to carry out the study.

The English standard value in this school is 6.5, so from the above data, it can be seen that the students' analytical exposition writing ability is low, because the students result in the writing ability in the pre-examination percentage in higher. The teachers are suggested to create techniques that are suitable in teaching learning processes, which will help to increase students' analytical. Students have some difficulty developing their ideas in writing and making their writing cohesive.

Based on the identification of the problem above, this research is focused on the students' brainstorming technique and writing ability especially in the students'. Based on the limitation of the problem mentioned above, the problem studied in this research is “Is there any positive and significant influence of the application of brainstorming technique on the students' analytical outline writing ability. To motivate the students to learn English brainstorming technique for the students' analytical outline writing ability.

The independent variable is using brainstorming technique and the dependent variable is analytical statement writing ability. Brainstorming technique is used to help student development students write down topics, one by one, without worrying about putting them in any particular order. In addition, students must master four basic skills in English: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

The students are expected to be able to express their idea in the written process. Based on the above paradigm, the writer can explain that if the students master the effective technique, in this case called brainstorming technique, then the students' writing skills get a high score and if the students do not master an effective technique so that the students get a low score on writing skill.

Hypothesis Formulation

There is a positive and significant influence of using the brainstorming technique on the students' analytical presentation-writing ability.

Independent variable in this research is the application of brainstorming technique to writing ability in the eleventh graders of the Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Pekalongan. Dependent variable in this research is the students' writing ability at the eleventh grade of the Senior High School of Muhammadiyah1 Pekalongan East Lampung. This means that the students' writing ability is the students' ability to apply brainstorming technique that the teacher gave it to them.

The writer measures students' analytical writing skills by using the pre-test and post-test. After giving a pre-test, the students received two treatments using writing skills in their brainstorming technique based on the prepared lesson plans. The first is pre-test and the second is post-test, the writer used the objective test essay which consists of one topic, then the students write a paragraph based on the topic.

To investigate whether there is the influence of brainstorming technique on the students writing ability at the eleventh grade the Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Pekalongan East Lampung .The author the date using t-test. Post-test was conducted by the researcher after analyzing and discussing the weakness and strength done by the teacher and the students during teaching-learning process without explaining and giving the analytical outline writing ability exercise in pre-test. From the table above shows that 100% of the students reached minimum standard (KKM), 65 at the senior high school of muhammadiyah 1 pekalongan.

The aim is for the students to master writing skills by using the brainstorming technique that results from these tests. This is evident from the result of the student's pre-test and post-test. Based on the analysis and the result of the research, the writer concluded that the brainstorming technique has a positive effect on the writing ability of the analytical exposition, because before using the brainstorming technique, the skill level of the students in writing skills is still low, caused by the students. focus and concentration in writing, this case is apparent from the pre-test result (average score: 50.58) and after the researcher has explained.

At the end of this research, I suggest the students of the Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Pekalongan to usually use a brainstorming technique to practice the writing ability because it can increase the writing skills and maintain the motivation of interest in learning English.

Instrument in this study is designed and adjusted with the indicators specified. Before giving the pre-test, the item test should be tried and analyzed to get the right tests. Instrument is the measurement scale used to decide which instrument standard will be used.

In this research, the researcher will use logical validity in the form of content validity because it is suitable with the content of the curriculum of the eleventh graders of Muhammdiyah Senior High School 1 Pekalongan. It is supported by Suharsimi Arikunto, who mentions that a test is content authentic if the test can measure a specific purpose that has been learned in parallel with the learning content.47 From this quote above, it can be concluded that the calibration of the instrument is the measuring scale that will be used to decide on an action in this research conducted by the researcher.

Data Analysis Technique

The infrastructure of Muhammadiyah Senior High School 1 Pekalongan can be a support for process teaching and learning. The independent variable uses the brainstorming technique and the dependent variable uses the ability to write an analytical discussion. The writer used an objective test with a test essay to measure the ability to write an analytical explanation, which consists of 5 items.

After applying the test method, the researcher analyzed the data using t-test to prove whether there is a significant influence of the application of brainstorming technique on the analytical outline writing ability in the eleventh grades of the Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Pekalongan. As a result, there is a positive and significant influence of the application of brainstorming technique on writing ability among the eleventh grade students of the Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Pekalongan. This means that there is any positive and significant influence of the application of brainstorming technique on analytical outline writing ability among the eleventh graders of the Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Pekalongan.

Research Variable Data

In this research, the brainstorming technique is an excellent technique for student self-instruction to enable students to focus on writing so that students can understand more about the topic. Brainstorming technique can make students focus on the topic, because when students are brainstorming, the technique should be comfortable, so it can help students to focus more. Writing skill is the process of understanding writing or searching for meaning, using our knowledge of the word or topct to understand the new things we write.

To teach writing, a teacher needs a technique that can help students better understand the topic. The writer gave 5 items for the pretest and 5 items for a posttest different from the pretest. This means that 94.1% have not yet achieved the minimum standard (KKM) at Muhammadiyah Senior High School 1 Pekalongan.

Based on the table above, the author measured the class interval: R = The highest score – lowest score.

Hypothesis Testing

After analysis using spps 16, the writer obtained the following data: Table 8.

Interpretation

This means that it is possible to prove the theory that using the brainstorming technique can increase the ability to write.

Limitation

It can be an alternative to teaching the writing skill, because brainstorming trains students to concentrate and focus when writing, and the classroom can be comfortable. For the teacher, they must guide the student to apply brainstorming technique or task, even tough students get motivation to solve their problem, especially in doing and practice writing and suppose to present the material by using different ways that make the students interested in learning, do not be bored or sanctify the lesson. To express the meaning a written functional text and short just essay in from report, narrative and analytical exposition in the environment.

Expressing the meaning and theoretical step of a simple short essay using a type of written language that is accurate, fluent and acceptable to interact with the environment in report, narrative and analytical exposition. Analytical exposition proposes or suggests a certain topic that can be either pro or con, not both.
