The background of this research was there are the material in SMA PGRI 2 Padang that cannot constructed the students thinking and linked the material related to the students daily.
The purpose of this research was to know the characteristic of students’ worksheet which have based the realistic approach that valid, practical and effective toward the result study of students in material of equation loop at eleventh grade of SMA PGRI 2 Padang. The research was the developing research by using 4-D that divided into 4 stages, they are define, design, develop, and disseminate. The instrument in this research was validation sheet, practical questionnaire, the guidelines interview of teacher and student and posttest. The data analyzed by percentage technique and processed in quantitative and qualitative. Based on the analysis of data, it can be concluded that the students’ worksheet, which develop in this research, have the valid criteria that the average of percentage was 75,78%. The respond of teacher and students toward students’ worksheet which the limited trial was 76,25% and 76,89%.
Besides, the result of interview showed that the students’ worksheet can help students to understand the material. The result of effectiveness in effective criteria which students completeness was 75,76%. The conclusion was the students worksheet which have based realistic approach in the equation loop material was valid, practical and effective.
