ABSTRACT
The aims of this research was to know and analyze the markers and the use of simile on Dolly
Parton Song Lyrics "Love is Like a Butteqfly, Dark As a Dungeon and

Soon As LTouched Hint" -Irr this research" ire researcher used song lyrics as object ofresearch, for the reader can be used this song as instructional media. This research was descriptive research qualitative approach there song lyrics as source of the data. The researcher collecting the data used observational method. Non-participant observational technique and note technique as advanced technique. After collecting the data, the researcher analyze the data using identrty method. The researcher used dividrng key factor technique and equalizing technique as advance technique to sorting, comparing and synchronize the data in accordance with the elements that exist in theory. lagu sebagai objek penelitian agar pembaca dapat menggunakan lagu ini sebagai media pembelajaran Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskiptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang manaiirik
lagu sebagai sumber data. Peneliti mengumpulkan data dengan menggunakan metode simak. Denganteknik Sn1.b (Simak Bebas Libat Cakap) serta telarik catat sebagai teknik lanjutan. Setelah mengumpulkan data, peneliti menganalisa data dengan menggunakan metode padan. Peneliti menggunakan teknik PUP (Pilah Unsur Penentu) dan teknik lanjutan }IBS (Hubungan Banding Menyamakan) untuk memilah, membandingkan dan menyamakan data sesuai dengan unsur-unsur yartg ada dalam teori.Pada hasil penelitian ini peneliti menemukan 14 data yang menggunakan majas simile, yang mana dalam data tersebut 10 data menggunakan penanda like dan 4 data menggunakan penanda as. Peneliti menemukan 6 data descriptile, 1 data associative, 5 data omament dan 3 data proverbial. Dapat disimpulkan penanda yang lebih banyak dalam penelitian ini adalah like, sedangkan penggunaar simile yang lebih banyak ditemukan dalam penelitian ini adalah omamentsimile.

INTRODUCTION
Song lyric is an art genre because consist of personal expression, therefore the song lyrics is assumed as poem. Song as a media of singer to express his or her feeling. Some song are related to his or her experience and life.
When a song is composes, there are some ways for the songwriters to expressed their feeling and make the message of that song clearly and easily understood. Most of people listen the song as a way to refresh themselves. It gives some sense of fun, enjoy and relax, if that song is interested.
In song lyric there are some figurative languages. Figurative language is form of language that has meaning but also in connotative meaning. According to Burk (2004:136) figurative language refers to the use of words that do not mean exactly what they say word by word. Language is an instrument or a form of culture used by human to communicate to each other, either by oral, written or signal. By using language a speaker or a writer can express their feelings, experiences or ideas either in spoken or written form. Besides, people can use the different way in using language in order to make others be interested and understand about message or information that they deliver. There are many types of figurative language that used by a writer such as metaphor, simile, personification, metonymy, antithesis, hyperbole, irony and etc. One of figurative language in this research was simile.
In its development, the language used in writing the song lyrics were very diverse. For example, when comparing two objects are unrealistic, the songwriter usually wrote it by using figure of speech as if two objects have similarities. According to Reaske in Minderop (2011:82) simile defined is a direct comparison between things which are not particularly similar in their essence. Furtheremore, Kirszner and Mandel (2007:924) say simile is a comparison between two unlike items that uses like or as.
When an imaginative comparison between two unlike items does not use like or as, that is, when it says “a is b” rather than “a is like b” it is a metaphor. It means that, simile is compare of two unlike thing, usually using like or as, example: “He runs like a horse”. Meanwhile, Granger and Meunier (2008:128) a simile can be defined as figurative expression used to make an explicit comparison of two unlike things by
means of the preposition like, (as)...as or the conjunction as, as if, as though. Based on the expert explanation above, it can be concluded that simile is an explicit giving comparison between two unlike things through the use of connecting words, usually use adverbial “like” or
“as.”
The Marker of Simile
The first, the marker like. According to Granger and Meunier (2008:127) says three patterns of marker like in simile are: is like a(n), is like V-ing a(n), V like a(n). Furthermore, Veale et al (2016:81) the pattern of like in simile is [B+ing] like a [V], which [B] denotes a single verb like cry, [B+ing] denotes its present continuous form (e.g., crying) and [V] again denotes a single noun vehicle.
The second, the marker as. According to Granger (2008:134) states that the pattern of as in simile is

Adj/Adv as. In addition Veale et al (2016:80) the pattern of indicator as is as [P] as a [V]. [P] donates a single adjectival property, [V] denotes a single noun (or lexicalized compound), and either or both can be replaced with a wildcard operator.The Use Of Simile
According to Kleiser (1925:11) the uses of simile are four: Purely descriptive, Associative, Ornament, and Proverbial. The use of simile for description generally speaking, descriptive passages are of three kinds of persons, of interiors, and of natural scenery and of these three, simile is the most effective in the last. Description of people are often given both very vividly and very briefly (a great point for the teller of short stories) by the use of simile.
The second use of simile is associative, that is nearly as important as that of pure direct description; it is this, to suggest by means of the simile employed the hidden character of the thing you are describing. The third is ornament.
This is a quite legitimate, very dangerous, way of employing simile. Sometimes a simile put in merely to improve the rhythm of a sentence, or to enhance the effect of a description already given, is justified by it’s result, but the dangerous are obvious. For instance, in “Lord Jim” when the author wishes to remind the reader of the state of mind of his hero on an earlier occasion without putting it before him in so many words, he again makes use of the simile
3 employed on the earlier occasion. The
ornamental use of simile in sentence-rhythm is a very subtle one. It is just say that sometimes the whole balance of a sentence depends upon the effective use of simile a sonorous or impressive sentence depending on a dignified simile took from a vast fact of creation, such as time, life, death, or eternity.
The last is proverbial. The air of ancient and elemental wisdom that some authors strive so hard and so unsuccessfully to attain can often by gained by the right use of simile, but here your effect will depend entirely on the choice of the kind of simile. Simile is used very largely by country folk and peasants of all lands, particular kind, and to get your effect you must know exactly the kind of thing that peasants say. “As cold as charity,” for instance, is a peasant saying as old as the fourteenth century at least, and it has the true elemental ring, it might be found in the bible, or in any book that contains a true rendering of the thought of a simple people.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The design of this research was descriptive research. According to Kothari (2004:37) state that descriptive research are those studies which are concerned with describing the characteristic of a particular individual or a group. It means that the researcher explains the subject of the research detail. They should describe anything in the subject without left the important point in subject of the research. To make the things clear, the researcher should spell out vividly and detail to avoid confusion.
Biside, the researcher used song lyrics by Dolly Parton title “Love is like a butterfly, Dark as a dungeon, and As soon as I touched him” as source of the data. Sudaryanto (1988:26) there are two sources of data, they are locational data and substantive data. Locational data in the research was song lyric. Meanwhile, the substantive data were similes which exist in song lyrics. The researcher would take the simile which state in the song lyrics.
In this research, the researcher collected the data used observational method.
According to Sudaryanto (1988:2) who states that observational method is a method which used by the researcher to observe the use of language. It means observational method is a method used to obtain data by listening to language use. The researcher was collecting the
data by using non-participant observational technique. In this technique, the researcher did not involve to the use of language in the song lyrics. The researcher was just an observer of the informant’s language and the researcher is not involved directly in conversation. The following technique of this research was takes a note technique. Takes a note technique is the continuation technique which applies the observation method.
After collecting the data, the researcher would analyze the data. Sudaryanto (2015:15) states that identity method is concerned with relation between language and a particular entity outside the language which is being referred to. This method was call referential identity method because to analyze the data researcher would use referent as a direction.
Moreover, the basic technique method which used by researcher is dividing key factors technique. Meanwhile, the researcher used equalizing technique as the following technique to analyze the data, the researcher used this technique to analyze the data because the researcher would choose, distinguish and find the similarity of that data based on referent.
RESEARCH FINDING
The purpose of this research was to analyze the markers and the use of simile on Dolly Parton Song Lyrics “Love is Like a Butterfly, Dark As a Dungeon and As Soon As I Touched Him”. In this research, the researcher collected the data by using observational method. After got the data, the researcher analyze the markers and the use of simile in song lyrics by Dolly Parton. In addition, the result of the analyze can be shown in the following based on the markers and the use of simile.
The first, the markers of simile. In this research, the researcher found two the markers of simile they are like and as.
The Marker Like
In this research, the researcher found 10 data similes using marker like in 3 songs.
There found 4 data using marker like in song lyric with the title Love is like a butterfly, they are:
Love is like a butterfly
The multicolored moods of love are like its satin wings
It flutters like soft wings in flight
Together we belong like daffodils and butterflies
The researcher found 1 datum in song lyric with the title Dark as a dungeon, that is:
His whole life away like a fiend with his dope
Than the researcher found 5 data in song lyric with title As soon as I touched him, they are:
He come to me like a bright idea
Shining like the sun
He drew me in like a magnet does
I felt like a woman
I heard myself cryin like a new born baby cries
Based on the pattern of simile, all of the marker like used theory by Granger and Meunier (2008:127), is like a(n), is like V-ing a(n), and V like a(n).
The Marker As
In this research, the researcher found 4 data similes using marker as in 3 songs. there found 1 datum using marker as in song lyric with the title Love is like a butterfly, that is:
As soft and gentle as a sight
The researcher found 3 data in song lyric with the title Dark as a dungeon, they are:
Runs as black as the coal
It’s darkas a dungeon
Damp as the dew
Than, the researcher did not found the marker as in song lyric with title As soon as I touched him. based on the pattern of simile, the researcher found 2 marker as using theory by Granger and Meunier (2008:127), as Adj/Adv as. than 2 marker as using theory by Veale et al (2016:81), [P] as a [V]. [P] .
The second, the use of simile. In this research, the researcher found five the use of simile they are descriptive, associative, ornament and proverbial.
Descriptive
The use of simile for description generally speaking, descriptive passages are of three kinds of persons, of interiors, and of natural scenery and of these three, simile is the most effective in the last. Based on the definition of descriptive simile, the researcher found 6 data using descriptive simile.
Associative
Associative is using the hidden character of the thing you are describing. In this
research, the researcher just foun 1 datum using associative simile.
Ornament
Ornament taken from a vast fact of creation, such as time, life, death, or eternity: a musical sentence requiring something daintier and lighter, such as a simile taken from birds or flowers or running water. In this research, the researcher found 7 data using ornament simile.
Proverbial
Proverbial is used very largely by country folk and peasants of all lands, particular kind. In this research, the researcher found 3 data using proverbial simile.
CONCLUSION
Based on the result data analysis and finding, the research question had been answered. The research question of this research was, what are the simile marker found on Dolly Parton song lyrics “Love is like a butterfly, Dark as a dungeon, and As soon as I touched him”?. The second research question What are the use of simile found on Dolly Parton song lyrics “Love is like a butterfly, Dark as a dungeon, and As soon as I touched him”?. The researcher found 14 data were classification as simile. There were 10 data using marker like, there all of data using marker like based on Granger and Meunier. The researcher were found 4 data using marker “as”.
There 2 data simile based on Granger and Meunier, and 2 data simile based on Veale et al.
The answered of the second research question, the researcher was found 6 data simile as simile descriptive, 1 datum as associative, 7 data as ornament, and 3 data as proverbial. All of the use of simile based on Kleiser.
