The effect of priming treatments duration and the priming method on the chracteistics of vigor, ger- mination and seedling growth of Cuminum (Cuminum cyminum L) under drought stress

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of duration and method of priming on germination and seedling growth of Cumin (Cuminum cyminum L), which was conducted under drought stress. Factorial ex- periments in completely randomized design in three replications including pretreatment 10, 20 and 30 hours and five drought levels (0, 0/3, 0/6, 0/9, 1/2).variance analysis showed that priming was significent on the mean germination time The results of mean compration, showed a 30 hour piming increase the mean germi- nation time.intraction between priming and tension drought seedling length and dry weight was significant.

During testing it was observed that increasing the stiffness of the partially reduced germination rates, in- creasing the osmotic potential of PEG significantly decreased germination, seedling length, seedling dry weight, and the average number of abnormal seedling germination at the time.the maximum length of control rlated to the control seedling and the lowest length was observed in drought level(1/2MP)
