P198,700.00 MODIF1CATlON OF BOARD'S RESOLUTION ON OR- GANIZATION OF PHILIPPINE YOUTH ORCHESTRA The Board modified its resolution at its 853rd meeting on 28 November 1974 approving the organization of the Philippine Youth Orchestra in the College of Music, such that the approved charges to the appropriation of P45,900.00 for the U.P. Symphony Orchestra shall in- clude likewise the purchase of musical instruments and other expenses incidental to the organization of the Philippine Youth Orchestra.
DEFERMENT SCHEDULE ADVISERS
The Board approved the deferment of the effectivity of the revised schedule of honoraria for thesis advisers, readers and panel members approved by the Board at its 858th meeting on 20 February 1975 until such time as further study and recommendations shall have been made on the problems that have arisen.
ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ADMISSIONS TEST1NG REVOLV1NG FUND AT U.P. AT BAGUlO
The Board approved the establishment of an Admissions Testing Revolving Fund for the U.P. at Baguio, to which will accrue income generated from the fees paid by students applying to take the admission test for the high school department, and against which will be charged expenses' in connection with the administration of the admission test, including honoraria (of examiners, proc- tors and checkers), supplies and materials and other in- cidental expenses.
The Board approved the collection of a standard medi- - cal fee of P20.00 for collegiate and pre-collegiate courses from all students enrolled in the summer sessions and review classes.
In this connection, the Board authorized the collection of the medical fee as part of the- tuition under the BPS- U.P. Training Program: in Music Education as well as from enrollees in the Summer Preparatory I?epartrnent.
The Board approved the increase in the student publi- . cation fee from 1'3.50 to 16.00 a, semester, beginning with
the academic year 1975-1976. This increase is necessitated by the increased printing costs of the Phil-ippine Col- legia,n.
Records show that income from the present P3.50 fee per semester collected' from the students is no longer suffi- cient to finance the publication of the Collegianbecause -of the tremendous 'increase in printing. expenses brought about by the worldwide inflationary effect of the oil crisis.
