Uncier this agreement, the parties agree to the following:
1. The boundaries of the land, subject of the usufruct agreement executed on 23 September 1980, are hereby extended so as to include the vacant lot in front of the BLISS housing project which separates it from the University Avenue containing an area of 28,128 square meters.
2. The MINISTRY hereby warrants that it shall abide by the UNIVERSITY regulation/restriction prohibiting the construction of vertical structure in the area annexed by virtue of this Agreement.
2. Memorandum of Agreement with the U.P. Engineering Research and DevelopmMt Foundation. Inc.
Under this agreement, the parties agree as follows:
1, the UIIIIVERSITY shall allow the FOUIIIOATlOIII to manege programs, projects, activities, and units of the National Engineering Center (NEC) by mutual agreement on a case-to-case basis;
2. the terms and conditions in each management service shall be covered by a separate management contract between the UNIVER~
SITY and the FOUIIIOATIOIII;
3. more specifically, the power of management by the FOUND·
ATION shall inclyde, ~mongothers,
a. the authority to enter into contracts with entities outside the UNIVERSITY for projects to be undertaken in units of NEC, provided that these contracts shallbesubject to conf rmation by the I'!EC ADVISORY BOARD;
b. t~e authC?rity to purchase, rent, or otherwise contract for
~terials, supplies, equipment, services, and. facilities for use in these projects. provlqed that when funds of the UIIIIVERSITY are used for the purpose, the funds provided bV the UIIIIVERSITY shall besubject to the accounting and auditing rules of the Government;

5. th. FOUNOATION. through the NEC. shall support salactad development progrQ1nS of the U.P: COllege of Engineering which will contribute to the attainment of NEC and Poundatlcnobjectives.
TheAgreement shell take effectuponapproval and shall remain in force and effect ind,tinitely. provided that the same may be terminated under terms mutually acceptable to both parties and after written notice of at least three months.

Due to lack of funds needed for the development of the rice thresher, Vegelanzang has entered into an agreement with the UPLB to assist. In the analysiS and testing of the equipmentasprovided in the schedule of work. VOgalenzang, on the other hand. shall provide UPLB arice thresher model, free of char9l', fortheundertaking.
