The purpose of this study was to to describe and correlate the level of hope and health-related quality
of life
of patientswith
cancer undergoing adjuvant therapy.It
also examined the relationship between domains and subscales of the aforementioned variables through Pedistin'sr.
Data were collected from 92 respondents residingwithin
theMunicipality
of Porac, Pampanga. Results revealed that over ahalf
of the respondents (53.26%) have highHRQoL
scores (mean of 68.5)in
the EORTC QLQ-C30 questionnaire. The overall levelof
hope was 33.32, which was generally acceptable, 66.30%
of
which
were considered to have high levels of hope based on the Herth Hope Index. Domains of HRQoL namely physicalfunctioning, role functioning, emotional functioning, cognitive functioning and social functioning were all positively correlated
with
hope subscales specifically: temporality and future,readiness and expectancy and interconnectedness at varying strengths.
