ABSTRACT

This paper estimates the Modal Pushover Analysis (MPA) procediu-e andpushoveranalysis using FEM A-356 force distributions against the "exact"

nonlinear respone history analysis (RHA) when it is applied for one-bay steel frames of 3, 6 and 9 storys. Each frame was analysed by two set of 10 ground motions records were assembled representing probabilities of exceedance of 1% and 10% in 50 years.

Keywords: modal pushover analysis, nonlinear response historj- analysis, strory drift, inter storj' displacement.
