Export activity is one of the most important instruments in the internationalization of many SMEs. This chapter aims to contribute to the development of the literature on EO as a factor influencing the export performance of small firms through a robust empirical study.
Acknowledgments
The fact that the research does not take into account the effect of control variables such as age, location and target market of the respondents can be seen as a limitation. In other words, to find out how and why some small exporters become highly successful while others, in the same industry, struggle to increase their export strengths to survive.

The Digitalisation of Rural Entrepreneurship
Problem statement
Aims and objectives of this study
Literature review
Entrepreneurial education, training and skills can help in the growth of rural entrepreneurial intentions in underdeveloped and isolated areas. It is therefore not an increase in the quantity of the other inputs that promotes economic development.
Methodology used
Therefore, there is a definite need to investigate the effects of training and human capital development management in relation to the growth and survival of rural SMEs [124]. Promotion of modernization, capacity building and scaling up of SMEs is required, and therefore human capital remains the most important factor for productivity in today's economy, including the small business sector [125, 126]. Questionnaires were distributed at the business premises of the owners/managers with the help of research assistants.
Research findings
These results show a clear picture that the digitization of the rural business is at the smart stage and therefore needs to be encouraged and managed more effectively. The results shown in Table 5 revealed that 110 (22%) as well as 261 (52%) of the respondents have knowledge and understanding of modern technologies and internet marketing. However, they are critical external factors influencing the diffusion and adoption of digital concepts in the sector, these include economic factors with 251 (50%) and technological factors with 150 (30%) of respondents being influenced by them.
Limitations
Concerns have also been raised by respondents about political, social and legal factors affecting their day-to-day business strategies.
Recommendations
National governments should establish steering agencies responsible for promoting and guiding the digitization of rural entrepreneurship and modern technology integration systems for rural communities. As the use and awareness of social media and social networks have grown significantly in many countries, they can be a good promotional tool for rural businesses as they will help reduce marketing while boosting product sales. The study recommends the use of digitization for capable rural enterprises to reach the international market and increase their competitive advantage.

A Practical and Theoretical Approach to Social Venturing Entrepreneurship
Key concepts in social venturing entrepreneurship
The literature on SVE can be traced back to entrepreneurship as described by the classic authors such as Von Mises, Kirzner, Schumpeter and Knight (van Dijk, op.cit). Their entrepreneurial activities are geared towards adding value in sectors and business activities for which they have developed a passion, and they develop businesses for clients with whom they feel sympathy (Smith). The key competence of entrepreneurs is for Kirzner [11] mastering alertness to business opportunities and for Knight the ability to exercise judgment under conditions of risk and uncertainty [1].
Social venturing entrepreneurship ontology
- Social venturing entrepreneurship (SVE)
- The social venturing entrepreneur
- SVE: social investor
- SVE: venture philanthropy
- SVE: investment on return
- SVE: the exit
It is one of the most effective methods for finding social investment funds in companies with a social entrepreneurial business model [8, 18]. The primary teleology in social entrepreneurial entrepreneurship is to determine the impact investment – the investment that generates both the desired social impact and the financial return. The social investment aims to satisfy multiple stakeholders: the main partners, the internal and external customers.

- The difference between SVCE business model and the TSVE business model enterprises
The primary focus for IOF business model enterprise is to achieve economic objective; the social or ecological goal is incidental or secondary ([18]: p. Christians have criticized the use of IOF business model for neglecting the well-being of all people [49]. In the SVCE business model, customers consist of three elements that must be established before setting up an SVCE business model enterprise.
The social venturing entrepreneurship: economics
- The conceptual framework for SVE
Before retirement, what economic, social, environmental, etc. impact should be achieved so that the SVCE business model venture remains sustainable even after partner exit. The success of the SVCE business model enterprise across the supply chains is possible when the social venture entrepreneurship applies entrepreneurship rooted in new institutional economics, behavioral economics and exit strategy theory as shown in Figure 5. The conceptual framework is based on the idea that the SVCE business model enterprise's performance and growth is influenced by: Social venture the enterprise and institutional management environment + institutional management + management environment + social management environment. same structure ([69]: p. 235).
Practical applicability SVE using SVCE business model enterprise
The business model typology in Table 1 is configured in the symbiosis of the business model in Figure 6. The SVCE business model for social entrepreneurs occupies the center because it uses market and non-market coordination. From Entrepreneurial Intentions to Behaviors
Wandering In-Between and Wondering about Challenges and Avenues
Entrepreneurship, entrepreneur, intention and behavior
- Defining entrepreneurship and entrepreneur
- Entrepreneurial intentions and behaviors and the mysterious link
Fortunately, research in entrepreneurship has developed remarkably and various approaches have been adopted in the attempt to understand and explain entrepreneurial human behavior. In this chapter we will refer to entrepreneurship in the sense of starting a new business and the entrepreneur as the main actor in the entrepreneurial process. In the same way, [ 39 , 40 ] classically defined entrepreneurial intentions as the cognitive state temporally and causally prior to the decision and action to start a business.
Wandering in between intentions and behaviors: leading, alternative and potential theories and concepts
- Leading theories for the prediction of intentions and behaviors 1. Theory of reasoned action
- Alternative theories for linking intentions to behaviors
- Other potential concepts bridging entrepreneurial intention: behavior link 1. Entrepreneurial motivation
The TPB has become one of the most influential theories of human behavior [9, 47] used to understand entrepreneurial behavior. They considered their TT to be an extension of the theory of goal pursuit and planned behavior. Given that there is still a lack of understanding of the intention-action link, scholars have been invited to rediscover the concept of motivation and its complexity in order to bridge the gap between intentions and behavior.
Wondering about challenges and avenues
For example, [95] used temporal construct theory to propose longitudinal research that tracks individuals' intentions over time and the emergence of entrepreneurial action. Future analysis of the intention-behavior relationship would require the follow-up of students, apprentices or trainees, within longitudinal and (quasi-)experimental research. Researchers who intend to study the impact of entrepreneurship education programs on the intention-behavior link will be encouraged by applying the combination of key theories that show their predictive ability such as TPB and Shaperos' entrepreneurial event [36], the integrative model validated by [49] and implementing the experiment [49] or implementing [49].
Concluding remarks
Several studies have explored the interrelationship between entrepreneurship education and participants' entrepreneurial intentions and supported their relationship [28, 29]. Entrepreneurial education and training are important for improving and executing individuals' entrepreneurial intentions and behaviors. From Entrepreneurship to Social Activist: The Role of Indonesian Migrant Entrepreneurs in Taiwan and
Entrepreneurship in Malang, East Java
Framework and research method
This study on entrepreneurship of Indonesian migrants in Taiwan and entrepreneurship of returning migrants in Indonesia deals with the relationships between the social environment of entrepreneurs, their socio-economic adaptations, the circumstances of individual entrepreneurship and the role/social functions of entrepreneur(ship). I define their interconnectedness as the social organizations made up of Indonesian migrant and returning migrant entrepreneurs. If a returning migrant wants to set up a business in the village of origin, the relationship between the structural and individual circumstances can bring about socio-economic adjustment and economic reintegration.
Findings and discussions
- Indonesian entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship in Taiwan 1. Practice and pattern
- Indonesian return-migrant entrepreneurship
Indonesian migrant entrepreneurship is a by-product of the interaction between opportunity structures (structural entrepreneurship), social solidarity (cultural entrepreneurship) and socio-cultural disposition (strategies to adapt to the business and social environment). The group adjustment and integration of Indonesian migrant workers in Taiwan can be realized through the facilitation efforts of entrepreneurs who offer social activities that are related to both the context of migrants' needs (need for local products, socialization and life expression, i.e. the bridge function) and migrants' problems (workplace difficulties, marginalization, social acceptance, non-discrimination and migration model. ). Indonesian former migrants' return migration, entrepreneurship and socio-economic activities in their hometowns using three patterns - the three R's, return, remittance and rebirth - as crucial elements in the process of understanding how Indonesian migrant mobility creates economic sustainability in the hometowns.
