Sinopsis Kursus/Course Synopsis GGGA6213 Teori dan Amalan Kurikulum

Kursus ini bertujuan untuk memberi pemahaman yang luas tentang bidang pengajian kurikulum. Kuliah, perbincangan dan kerja lapangan akan meliputi falsafah, teori dan model-model kurikulum, perbandingan kurikulum, sejarah aliran pemikiran pembaharuan kurikulum, kajian-kajian dalam bidang kurikulum dan proses pembentukan kurikulum di Malaysia.

GGGA6213 Curriculum Theory and Practice

The course enables students to understand the field of curriculum studies. Lectures, discussions and field work will include philosophy, theory and curriculum models, curriculum comparisons, the idea of progressivism in curriculum, development and the process of curriculum development in Malaysia.

GGGA6243 Perancangan Kurikulum

Kursus ini memberi peluang kepada pelajar mengkaji secara analitis, kurikulum sesuatu program. Daripada pengkajian itu pelajar akan mengemukakan cadangan-cadangan untuk memperkemaskankurikulumberkenaan. Tatacaramerangkakurikulumyangmerangkumi penyediaan cadangan untuk sesuatu kurikulum, matlamat, pendekatan, strategi, tenaga kerja dan latihan serta alat kelengkapan dan kemudahan akan dibincangkan. Di peringkat mikro, kursus ini akan membincangkan perancangan untuk mengimplementasi sesuatu kurikulum yang merangkumi aturcara aktiviti implementasi, pengurusan serta tenaga kerja dan penyediaan belanjawan untuk melaksanakan sesuatu program.

GGGA6243 Curriculum Planning

This course aims at giving students the opportunity to analytically study the curriculum of a program. From this study, the students will propose suggestions to enhance the curriculum. This will include the preparation of a proposal for a curriculum, aims, approaches, strategies, personnel and training as well as equipments and facilities. At the micro level, this course will discuss planning for implementation of the program, management, workforce and budgeting.

GGGE6253 Perubahan dalam Kurikulum dan Pengajaran

Kursus melihat perubahan sebagai satu perkara yang harus berlaku dalam sistem pendidikan yang berkembang dengan pesat. Pada keseluruhan kursus ini membicarakan maksud perubahan dan implikasinya kepada kurikulum dan pengajaran. Kursus ini akan memberi perhatian kepada perubahan di peringkat sekolah dan juga perubahan pendidikan di peringkat negara. Perubahan bukanlah bermaksud melaksanakan dasar-dasar kerajaan yang terkini. Ia bermaksud mengubah budaya bilik darjah, sekolah, universiti dan sebagainya. Terdapat lebih banyak implikasi kepada perubahan pendidikan yang disedari oleh kita semua. Kursus berbentuk seminar dan terdiri daripada perbincangan, pembentangan kertas kerja, kajian jurnal dan satu penyelidikan kecilan tentang perubahan dalam kurikulum dan pedagogi.

GGGE6253 Changes in the Curriculum and Teaching

This course reviews changes that ought to happen in a fast changing education system. It discusses on the meaning of change and the implication on the curriculum and teaching. Focus is given on the change in schools and on education in general. Making changes does not necessarily implicate implementing the latest government policies; rather it is changing the culture in classrooms, schools, university etc. and implications that go beyond our awareness. Discourses include seminars, discussion, presentation, journal research and small-scale research on changes in the curriculum and pedagogy.

GGGE6283 Penyelidikan dalam Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran

Kursus ini memperkenalkan kepada pelajar berbagai kaedah penyelidikan yang boleh dijalankan dalam pendidikan, khas sekali dalam bidang pengajaran. Beberapa kaedah

penyelidikan akan dibincangkan termasuk yang tradisional dan yang lebih baru. Pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif akan disentuh. Contoh-contoh penyelidikan yang dilaksanakan di dalam dan luar negara akan dibincangkan sambil memberi penekanan tentang kekuatan dan kelemahan mereka. Kursus berbentuk seminar: pembentangan kertas kerja, cadangan kajian dan pelaksanaan dan laporan akhir kajian.

GGGE6283 Research in Teaching and Learning

This course is an introduction in the various research methods in education and in particular in teaching. Several research approaches will be discussed including both traditional and latest trend in research methods. Qualitative and quantitative mrthods will also be discussed togetherwithexamples of research done locally and internationally, their advantages and disadvantages. This course consists of seminar presentation of working papers, research proposals and implementation and final research report.

This course deals with designing teaching strategies based on theories in teaching, psychology, communications, sociology and educational technology. This enables professionals from various fields to equip themselves with basic reasoning and arguments in teaching as well as analytical and integrated views of underlying theories together with research findings in designing an effective teaching session.
