Kursus ini bertujuan untuk memberi pengetahuan, kemahiran dan pengalaman kejurulatihan komputer kepada pelajar dalam mengendalikan kursus-kursus komputer untuk program latihan pra dan dalam perkhidmatan dalam pendidikan guru. Kursus akan membincangkan teori-teori dan strategi-strategi pembelajaran yang boleh diaplikasikan dalam program latihan komputer. Kursus ini juga akan membincangkan peranan fasilitator bagi kursus-kursus komputer. Pelajar dikehendaki mengendalikan siri-siri bengkel komputer di dalam dan luar kampus.
GGGE6913 Computer Training
The purpose of this course is to give knowledge, skills and experience on computer training to the students. Students will organise computer courses for pre and in-service training programs in teacher education. Topics to be discussed are learning theories and stragegies that can be applied in computer training programs. This course will also discuss the role of facilitators in computer training. Students are required to handle series of computer training and action research in and out of the campus.

This course will emphasize on thinking skills within the area of computer education. It will discuss the importance of computer as an enabler to thinking skills and its role in developing nation that contributes to technology civilazation. Strategies to infuse thinking skills in computer education program will be examined. This course also focuses on four aspects of creativity – process, product, environment and personality in computing. This course also covers the thinking system in educational computing. Students are required to handle a workshop thinking skills in computer course.

Discussions will be held on issues and the importance of evaluation of computer education. This course also focuses on the process of development and utilization of instrument for testing, portfolio assessment and scoring rubric for teaching and learning computer. Computer-based testing and electronic portfolio for teaching and learning computer will be exposed to the students. Evaluation of computer training and computer education programs in school and other institution of learning will be examined.
